How do I use the Wilfa Lun FW-1 foot warmer?

Ensure the control unit is set to 0 (Off) before plugging in. For fast warming, select setting 3 (Max). Insert your feet and adjust to desired temperature. The Auto Off function will turn it off after 2 hours; to restart, unplug and plug again.

What do the settings 0, 1, 2, and 3 mean?

How do I clean the foot warmer?

Only the removable inner lining can be washed. Remove it and hand wash in warm water (40°C) using a neutral detergent. Do not wash the main foot warmer or immerse it in water.

Can I wash the entire foot warmer?

No. Never immerse the product in water. Only the removable inner lining can be hand washed. Using the product while damp is not recommended.

Why does the foot warmer turn off after 2 hours?

The Auto Off function is a safety feature that automatically disconnects power after 2 hours of continuous use to prevent overheating. To continue use, unplug and plug it back in.

Is it safe to sleep with the foot warmer on?

No. Never go to sleep with the foot warmer switched on. Prolonged use at high temperature may cause burns. Always turn it off before sleeping.

Can I use this foot warmer on pets?

No. The manual states: Do not use the product to warm animals. It is designed only for human use.

THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL PROVIDES IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION, AS WELL AS SAFETY DURING INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.

General guidelines

1 After opening the package, check that the product is intact and has no visible signs of being damaged in transit.
2 Before plugging in the product, check that the technical specifications provided correspond to your mains supply. You can find these specifications on the label affixed to the product.
3 Do not use an adapter and/or extension cord. If the plug does not fit the socket, the plug must be replaced with an appropriate one by a qualified person.
4 This product may only be used as a foot warmer as indicated in this instruction manual. Any other use may be dangerous. The manufacturer bears no responsibility for injuries arising from incorrect use.
5 Certain basic rules must be followed when using all electrical products.

In particular, remember the following:

• Never touch the foot warmer with wet or damp hands or feet.
• Never pull on the power cord or the actual foot warmer in order to disconnect from the mains supply.
• Do not use the foot warmer out of doors.

6 Always disconnect the foot warmer from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance on it.
7 If the foot warmer stops working, does not function normally, or if the fuse is triggered, unplug it. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. Take the product to an authorised service centre/dealer for repair.
8 To avoid the appliance overheating, it is recommended that the power cord be fully extended before use, and that the mains supply is disconnected when the foot warmer is not in use.

9 The power cord that comes with the control unit cannot be replaced. If this power cord becomes damaged, you must take the foot warmer to an authorised service centre/dealer to have it replaced.
10 Never immerse the product in water.
11 Long-term operation at a high temperature may cause burns. Never go to sleep with the foot warmer switched on. Never pull on the power cord, and never use the power cord as a support. This product is not designed for use in hospitals. Do not use the product on sick people, babies or people who have reduced sensitivity to heat.

This unit is not suitable for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who have limited experience and knowledge, unless they are under the supervision of or have been trained to use the unit by a person responsible for their safety. Precautions must be taken to prevent children playing with the unit.

Instructions for use

IMPORTANT

This product is controlled via a safety mechanism that automatically regulates the temperature by switching the power on and off at regular intervals. The temperature of the product is the maximum allowed according to IEC standards that guarantee safe operation. The product provides the appropriate amount of heat and is not dangerous.

How to use

This Wilfa product features a control unit with four settings and an Auto Off function:

0 Off

1 Minimum temperature
2 Medium-high temperature
3 Maximum temperature

The Auto Off function turns the foot warmer off automatically after two hours

Before switching on the product, check that the control unit is in the zero position before connecting to the mains supply.

For fast warming, select setting 3; the product will be lovely and warm after just a few minutes. Insert feet into the foot warmer and adjust to the desired temperature. Do not use the product to warm animals. The Auto Off function disconnects the foot warmer after two hours of use. When restarting, pull the plug out of the socket and insert once more for another two hours of use.

Wash the removable inner lining only

This product comes with a separate inner lining which can be hand washed in warm water (40 °C) after it is removed from the product. We recommend the use of a neutral detergent.

IMPORTANT: The actual foot warmer must not be washed or rinsed. WE ADVISE AGAINST USING THE PRODUCT WHEN IT IS DAMP.

Storage and regular inspection

When the product is not in use, it should be stored in a dry place. Avoid placing it underneath heavy objects. Avoid folding/rolling up the foot warmer.

Check the product and switch regularly to identify any wear. If you notice signs of wear, or if the product does not operate as it should, take it to an authorised service centre/dealer.

Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE), such waste must be collected separately and processed. If in future you need to discard this product, please do not throw it out with your normal rubbish. Please send this product to a collection point where one is available.
