How do I use the HoMedics FB-200-TL foot spa?

Ensure the unit is unplugged before filling with warm water to the fill line. Plug into a 120V outlet, sit down, and press the on/off button. Select hydro-therapy jets, vibration massage, or both using the control panel.

Why doesn't the water heat up?

The foot spa does not heat cold water. For a warm water massage, fill the unit with warm water. The heat function maintains the warmth but does not raise the temperature significantly.

Can I stand on the foot spa?

No, never stand on or in the unit. Always remain seated while using to avoid injury and damage. The foot spa is designed for seated use only.

How do I clean the foot spa?

Unplug and allow to cool. Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleansing agent. Do not use harsh abrasives or detergents. Dry with a dry cloth.

Can diabetics use this foot spa?

No, the manual states that use by diabetics is not recommended. Consult a doctor before use if you have any medical concerns.

What is the warranty for the FB-200-TL?

• Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. DO NOT use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.

• Extensive use could lead to the product's excessive heating and shorter life. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before operating.
• Never use any foot spa on open wounds, discolored areas, or any area of the body that is swollen, burned, inflamed, or where skin eruptions or sores are present.
• If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period of time, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Persistent pain could be a symptom of a more serious condition.
  • DO NOT use while sleepy or drowsy.
• Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user's capacity to operate the controls, or who has sensory deficiencies.
  • Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.
• Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.

Servicing of Double-Insulated Products

In a double-insulated product, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated product, nor should a means for grounding be added to the product. Servicing a double-insulated product requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated product must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated product is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED". The symbol "may also be marked on the product."

Polarized Plug

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

Instructions for Use

1. Ensure that the unit is unplugged before filling with water. Fill with warm water to the fill line located on the inside of the tub.
   NOTE: The footbath will not heat cold water. For a warm water massage, fill unit with warm water.
   CAUTION: Do not fill water over the fill line.
2. Place the unit on a waterproof surface, or any surface that cannot be damaged by splashing water.
3. Plug the unit into a 120 volt household outlet.

Caution: To avoid injury and irreparable damage, always remain seated when using this foot massager. Never stand on or in the unit.

CAUTION: THIS UNIT CAN ONLY RUN WITH WATER IN IT. DO NOT USE WITHOUT WATER.

1. Sit down in a comfortable position. With the touch of your toe, press the on/off button.
2. Select hydro-therapy water jet massage, vibration massage, or both by pressing the corresponding buttons on the control panel.
3. Manually massage your heels, arches, and toes by rubbing your feet over the center massage node.
4. To empty: first, unplug the unit. Take the foot spa to the closest drain and tip the unit allowing water to pour out along the drain spout. DO NOT pour water over the control panel.
   NOTE: To reduce splashing due to different water displacements of feet, raise or lower the water level of the footbath.

Maintenance

To Clean

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleansing agent.

• After cleaning, wipe surfaces with a dry cloth.
- Never use strong abrasives, detergents or cleansing agents.
• Periodically straighten cord if it becomes twisted.

To Store

Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow to cool and dry.

• Store in its box or a clean, dry place.
• To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit
• Do not hang the unit by the power cord.
  • This appliance is designed for household use only.

Holmedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as notes below. Holmedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your HcMedics product, contact a consumer relations representative by telephone at 1-800-466-3342 for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchase of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers. To obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse, accident, the attachment of any unauthorized accessory, alteration to the product, improper installation, unauthorized repairs or modifications; transport use of electrical/power supply, loss of power, dropped product, malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer's recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft, neglect, vandalism or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEIDS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY.
