How to set the refrigerator temperature?

Use the adjustment button located inside the refrigerator. The recommended temperature is 4°C for the refrigerator and -18°C for the freezer.

What to do if the appliance is not cooling enough?

Check that the ambient temperature is within the allowed range, that the ventilation grilles are not obstructed, and that the door closes properly. Also ensure that the temperature setting is not at the minimum position.

How to clean the refrigerator?

Unplug the appliance, remove food and shelves. Clean the interior with a soft cloth soaked in lukewarm water and a little white vinegar. Rinse and dry. Never use abrasive products.

Why does water accumulate at the bottom of the refrigerator?

This is often due to a clogged condensate drain hole. Clean it with a soft rod or a pipe cleaner. Also check that the water collection tray is not full.

How to defrost the freezer?

This model is equipped with No Frost technology: defrosting is automatic. No manual intervention is required.

What does the red light or audible alarm mean?

The red light indicates a temperature that is too high in the freezer. The audible alarm may signal an open door or a failure. Consult the manual for details according to the model.

Can the door opening direction be changed?

Yes, the door is reversible. Follow the instructions in the manual to disassemble the hinges and reverse the direction. Have a screwdriver and possibly a wrench ready.

Where to find the serial number of my appliance?

The serial number is on a label inside the refrigerator, usually on the left side wall or top right. It often starts with 'SE' or 'LW'.

How to activate the 'Holiday' function?

Press the 'Vacances' (or 'Holiday') button on the control panel. This function keeps the freezer running while reducing the refrigerator temperature to save energy.

What to do in case of a prolonged power outage?

Avoid opening the doors. The autonomy is about 12 hours under normal conditions. After power returns, check the condition of the food: do not refreeze thawed products.

They contain information how to exchange defined spare parts including warnings and risks.

In case of questions, please contact our customer service. We will only be liable for damages if the repair hints have been followed properly.

1.2 Explanation of symbols

1.2.1 Danger levels

The warning levels consist of a symbol and a signal word. The signal word indicates the severity of the danger.

2.1.1 All domestic appliances

Risk of electric shock due to live parts!

• Errors by repairs involving electrical components can lead to electrical shock!
  ■ Disconnect the appliance from the mains for at least 60 seconds before starting work.
  ■ After the repair have a safety test according VDE 0701 or country-specific regulations performed.

Risk of injury from sharp edges!

■ Wear protective gloves.

Risk of crushing during repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and service due to heavy and moving components

■ Wear protective shoes.
■ Secure heavy components from falling down.
■ Do not stick body parts into moving components.

Risk to the appliance's safety / function!

■ Only use original spare parts.

Risk of damage to electrostatically sensitive components (ESDs)!

Repair

1. Release door gasket from the groove on right and left corner.

1. Pull out door gasket from groove.

Door gasket is removed.

	Thickness of new door gasket may deviate slightly from thickness of old door gasket. This will not affect closing behavior and long-term function.
	If your appliance has adjustable hinges or hinge attachments, you can optimize the closing behavior subsequently.
	Small side holes in door gasket are functional (required for ventilation). These are not production faults.

Repair

1. Check groove for gasket for damage.

1. If groove for gasket is it is damaged.

2. Contact customer service.

3. i Slight deformation of door gasket is normal and does not affect its function. It is recommended to straighten door gasket before inserting it into appliance.

Heat door gasket with a hair dryer or hot water and manually reshape it.

1. Push corners of gasket at the top and bottom to the groove.

4.2 Replacing door handle

Required tools:

Torx Bit TX20 6,3 mm (1/4") [00340865]

Slotted screwdriver Blade 10 mm x 1.6 mm x 200 mm

Prerequisite:

√ Appliance is disconnected from power supply.
√ Door is open.

4.2.1 Removing door handle

1. Remove two screw caps (1).
2. Unscrew two screws (2).
3. Remove door handle (3).

Door handle is removed.

Door handle for the second door can be removed in the same manner.

▶ Install in reverse order.

Prerequisite:

√ Appliance is disconnected from power supply.
√ Appliance interior fittings are removed.

1. Place appliance on the back side.

1. 1. Press upper hinge cover on both sides (1).

2. Move out upper hinge cover (2)

3. Rotate hinge cover (3).
4. Remove upper hinge cover (4).
5. Unscrew two screws (5).
6. Remove upper hinge (6)

Upper hinge is removed.
