How to take underwater photos with the WG10?

Activate the Underwater or Underwater Movie mode via the navigation button. Make sure all doors are securely closed. The maximum depth is 10 meters and continuous duration is 120 minutes. After use, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly before opening the doors.

What to do if the camera does not turn on?

First check the battery status: it must be charged and properly inserted. If it is discharged, use the supplied D-BC92 charger. If the problem persists, remove the battery and SD card, then reinsert them. If unsuccessful, contact a PENTAX repair center.

How to change the battery?

Turn off the camera. Open the battery/card compartment cover by sliding the latch. Press the battery lock lever to eject it. Insert the new battery (model D-LI92) with the PENTAX logo facing the lens. Close the cover by pressing until it clicks.

How to use the flash?

In recording mode, press the navigation button (◀) to cycle through flash modes: Auto, Flash off, Flash on, Auto+Red-eye, Flash+Red-eye. The flash fires automatically according to the selected mode. The range is approximately 0.3 to 3.9 m in wide-angle.

How to transfer photos to a computer?

Connect the camera to the computer using the supplied USB cable. Ensure the camera is in USB connection mode (set to MSC or PTP in the menu). On Windows, the camera appears as a removable drive; copy the files. Use the supplied MediaImpression software for advanced management.

How to clean the camera after use in the sea?

First, make sure all doors are securely closed. Rinse the camera with clean running water for a few minutes. Wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use soap, detergent, or alcohol. Dry completely before opening the doors to change the battery or card.

Why is the screen black?

The screen may be turned off if you have pressed the OK/DISPLAY button multiple times in recording mode (cycle: normal, histogram, no display, screen off). Press again to reactivate the display. If the problem persists, check that the camera is powered on and the battery is charged.

How to set the date and time?

Press the MENU button to access the [Settings] menu. Navigate to Date setting with the navigation button. Select the format (dd/mm/yy, mm/dd/yy, yy/mm/dd) and 12h/24h display. Set the date and time, then confirm with OK.

How to use macro mode?

In recording mode, press the navigation button (▶) to change the focus mode. Select Macro or 1cm Macro for extreme close-ups. The minimum focusing distance is 1 cm in 1cm Macro mode. Use the supplied macro stand (O-MS1) to stabilize the camera.

What to do if water enters the camera?

If water or moisture is suspected inside, immediately turn off the camera and remove the battery and SD card. Do not open the doors if the camera is wet on the outside. Dry the exterior with a cloth. Contact an authorized PENTAX repair center. Continued use may damage the camera.
