What type of water should I use in the iron?

Only use tap water. Do not use distilled, demineralised water, vinegar, or commercial softeners. These can damage the iron and void the warranty.

How do I set the temperature correctly?

Refer to the garment's label for the recommended temperature setting. Start with a low temperature for synthetics (e.g., acrylic, nylon), medium for wool and silk, and high for cotton and linen. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

How do I use the steam iron function?

Fill the water tank with tap water to at least 1/4 full. Set the temperature to high (•••). Once the thermostat light goes out, set the steam selector to desired level (normal or high steam). Steam ironing is only possible at high temperatures.

How do I activate burst of steam?

Ensure water tank is at least 1/4 full. Set temperature to high (•••) and wait for thermostat light to go out. Lift iron a few cm from garment and firmly press the burst of steam button. Wait a few seconds before pressing again.

Can I use the iron for vertical steaming?

Yes. Use the burst of steam function while holding the iron vertically, 15-30 cm away from hanging clothes or curtains. This is ideal for removing creases without a board.

What is the anti-drip system and why does it click?

The anti-drip system prevents water from dripping at low temperatures. It may emit a loud click during heating or cooling; this is normal. If clicking during ironing, reduce steam or increase temperature.

How do I descale the iron?

Unplug iron. Set steam selector to off (✗). Fill tank to MAX with water. Set temperature to high (•••) and plug in. Wait for light to go out and on again, then set thermostat to MIN. Unplug, hold iron over sink, press self-cleaning button while moving iron back and forth until tank empties. Repeat if needed.

How do I clean the soleplate?

Allow soleplate to cool. Wipe with a damp cloth. For stubborn residues, use a rough cloth soaked in vinegar-water solution, then dry with soft cloth. Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners.

What is covered by the warranty?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects according to current law. You must provide the cash receipt with purchase date. Damage from using non-tap water, improper descaling, or misuse is not covered.

Is it safe to leave the iron unattended?

Never pour vinegar or other commercial softeners in the iron. Likewise do not fill up with demineralised or distilled water. These liquids will combine with the metal parts of the iron and thereby destroy the iron. Damages to iron or clothes due to the use of other liquids than tap water are not covered by the warranty.

Safety and electrical appliances

1. Read the instruction manual carefully before use, and save it for future use.
2. Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 220-240V only, and use the appliance only for the intended use.
3. Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply when disorder is experienced, when not in use, and before cleaning and maintenance.
4. The appliance must not be immersed into water or other liquids. Never use the appliance with wet hands.
5. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety and they understand the hazards involved.
6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
7. Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age when it is energized or cooling down.
8. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are over the age of 8 and supervised.
9. Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table.
10. The appliance must not be left unattended while it is

connected to the supply mains.

1. The appliance must not be used outside the house or in a bathroom.
2. Do not place the appliance on or near hotplates, open fire or the like.
3. The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
4. When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
5. Never iron over buttons, zippers etc. as this may damage the ironing surface.
6. Always unplug the iron when it is filled with water or when emptying the water from the tank, when cleaning or maintaining the iron, and when it is not in use.
7. The water filling inlet must not be opened during use.
8. Do not wind up the cord around the iron when the iron is hot.
9. When in use the iron reaches high temperatures and there is a risk of burns. Therefore, do not touch the ironing surface.
10. The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if the is visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
11. Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before use. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, or his service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
12. For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.
13. The appliance is for domestic use only.
14. If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.

Before use

Before you use the steam iron for the first time, please read the instruction manual carefully and save it for future use.

Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth to remove any residue before use. Fill water in the tank and empty it to make sure that there are no impurities left in the water tank. Empty the water tank by opening the water filling inlet and turn the iron upside down over a sink to let the water run out.

How to use the steam iron

Setting of temperature

Always follow the label and ironing instructions on the garment. The label shows an iron and the number of dots indicates the right temperature. If the iron on the label is crossed, this means that the garment cannot be ironed.

Before the very first ironing it is important to iron an old cloth or dishcloth to make sure that all possible impurities in the water tank are removed. It is important to completely empty the water tank before ironing. Some of the parts of the iron have been slightly lubricated/greased, which may create some smoke when switching on the appliance for the first time. After about 10 minutes the completely harmless smoke will disappear.

If there is no instruction as to the ironing temperature, start with the lowest possible temperature and carefully make a test. Always start by ironing a part that will not be visible. In case of mixed kinds of fabrics, such as polyester/cotton, always iron at a temperature corresponding to polyester – i.e. the lowest temperature. The following table can be used as a guideline in case of doubt:

• = Ironing at low temperature: Synthetic fabrics, e.g. acryl, nylon, polyester etc. Steam ironing cannot be made at a low temperature. Set the steam selector at ⚙️.
  • = Ironing at medium temperature: Wool, silk etc. We recommend that steam ironing is not used at this temperature.
  ••• = Ironing at high temperature: Cotton, linen etc. Steam ironing can be done by setting the steam selector at 🏠 or 🌐 depending on the wanted amount of steam.

If the garment has print, sequins or similar, special care is required as such materials may melt. Consequently, the above table is not valid for such materials. We recommend that fabrics that have a tendency of becoming shiny are ironed on the reverse side. If ironed on the right side, do it carefully and always keep the iron moving.

Filling with water

If you want to use the iron with steam, start by filling water direct from the tap. Do not use distilled or demineralised water as such liquids may combine with the metal parts of the iron. Using other liquids than tap water may damage the iron and may furthermore result in black spots on the garment to be ironed. Damage to garments due to the use of other liquids than tap water is not covered by the warranty and possible use of other liquids can be ascertained by our repair shop.

If you live in an area with very hard water (above 17 pH), you should clean the steam chamber of the iron regularly in order to avoid lime deposits. Follow the self-cleaning process as described in this manual. The iron is furthermore equipped with a built-in anti-lime filter (not changeable), which has been designed to reduce the building up of limestone in the steam chamber and thus to prolong the lifetime of the iron. The anti-lime filter will, however, not entirely prevent the natural building up of limestone in the iron, and it is therefore important to follow the self-cleaning procedure at regular intervals.

Remove the mains plug from the electrical outlet and pour water in the delivered beaker. Set the steam selector at ⚙. Position the iron horizontally and open the filling inlet by lifting the lid.

Pour the water slowly into the filling hole. The water level must not exceed the Max indication. Close the lid. NOTE: If you are going to steam iron afterwards, it is important that the iron is heated before switching the steam selector to steam ironing.

Steam ironing

Steam ironing is only possible at high temperatures. Please see the table above.

• Make sure that the appliance is unplugged
- Set the steam selector at ✗ first to prevent water from running out right away. Add water through the water filling inlet (the tank shall be at least 1/4 full of water) as described above.
- Reinsert the plug into the socket and set the temperature control at •••. The thermometer light will be on, but goes off again, once the iron has reached the temperature set and is ready for use. The thermostat light will flash at certain intervals, as the thermostat will automatically go out while ironing to ensure the right temperature.
- Finally, set the steam selector at ⚙ (normal amount of steam) or ⚙ (bigger amount) depending on the amount of steam you want. You can now start ironing.

When steam ironing at low temperatures some dripping may be seen from the soleplate as the water in the tank will not evaporate sufficiently. Therefore, always be sure to set the steam selector corresponding to the temperature setting.

Before ironing, in particular for the first time, we recommend to pump the spray and burst of steam buttons 3 to 4 times in order to activate these functions.

Burst of steam

Make sure that the water tank is at least 1/4 full of water. Set the temperature at ... , and wait until the temperature has been reached (wait until the thermostat light goes out again).

Lift the iron a few centimetres from the garment and press hard on the burst of steam button. The soleplate will now release a powerful burst of steam onto the garment. It may be necessary to activate the burst of steam button a couple of times in order to ensure the optimum power of the pump in the iron. Wait a few seconds before reactivating the burst of steam button.

Note that the burst of steam can be activated at high temperatures.

IMPORTANT!

The steam is hot when you use the burst of steam, and therefore keep children away to avoid burns. Keep your fingers off the steam jet when this function is on.

Vertical ironing

The iron can also be used for vertical ironing, which is perfect for removing creases on hanging clothes, curtains etc. The process is the same as for burst of steam (see that section), but the iron shall be held in a vertical position about 15 to 30 cm away from the garment to be ironed.

Dry ironing

Switch the steam selector to position ✗ (closed). Set the temperature at the wanted temperature and wait until the thermostat light goes out. The iron is now ready for use.

If there is water in the tank, you can also use the spray function and the burst of steam function (see special sections) when dry ironing, if this is required in order to obtain a good result. Just make sure, when using burst of steam during dry ironing that the temperature regulation has been set at this function.

Spray

Spray is used to dampen dry garments and difficult creases. Press the spray button all the way down, and water particles will be sprayed on the garments for easier ironing and a better result.

It can also be an advantage to use the spray function for delicate fabrics (synthetic fabric) that are ironed at low temperatures and where you cannot use a specific burst of steam.

Anti-drip system

The iron comprises an anti-drip system to prevent water from dripping on the clothes during steam ironing, should the temperature of the soleplate be too low. The anti-drip system may emit a loud 'click', particularly when the iron is heating up and cooling down. This is quite normal and does not mean that the iron is defective. If this 'click' is heard during ironing it indicates that the amount of steam is too important for the chosen temperature. Either reduce the amount of steam or increase the temperature.

If, contrary to expectation, some water drops should occur, this does not mean that the iron is defective, but it can indicate that the water tank is about to being empty or that the iron needs descaling.

The anti-drip system will automatically switch off the steam if the temperature is too low.

After use

When the ironing is done, put the steam selector in position ✗. Disconnect from the mains supply and empty the water tank by opening the filling inlet and turn the iron upside down over a sink to let the water run out. Reconnect the appliance and set the temperature at "MAX" for 1 to 2 minutes to let any remaining water evaporate. Now disconnect from the mains supply and position the iron on its heel to let the soleplate cool off.

NOTE! Always position the iron on its heel when not in use!

Even the smallest amount of water in the steam chamber may damage the soleplate, if the iron is stored with the soleplate facing downwards. Such damage is not covered by the warranty.

Descaling procedure – cleaning the steam chamber of the iron

You will obtain the best ironing quality and the iron will last longer if the self-cleaning procedure is followed at regular intervals, such as once or twice a month as this will remove possible scale and "lint" in the steam chamber and in the steam holes.

• Make sure that the plug of the iron is removed from the mains socket.
- Set the steam selector in position ✗ (closed).
• Fill the water tank to the MAX water level.
- Place the iron on its heel.
- Set the temperature indicator at ••• and connect the plug in the socket.

• Let the steam iron heat up and wait until the thermostat light has gone out and then on again.
• Set the thermostat at MIN.
  • Unplug and keep the iron horizontally over a sink.
• Press the self-cleaning button and keep it pressed during the entire self-cleaning procedure. The button may be a little tight, but this does not mean that the iron is defective.
• Steam and boiling water will now emit from the holes in the soleplate. Impurities and scale will be flushed out at the same time.
• Move the iron forwards and backwards over the sink while steam and boiling water emit from the soleplate and continue until the water tank is empty.
  • After descaling release the self-cleaning button.
• Let the soleplate cool off and wipe with a damp cloth.

Repeat the self-cleaning procedure until there are no more impurities.

IMPORTANT! Never use the self-cleaning button while ironing. The self-cleaning button should only be used when activating the self-cleaning procedure

Cleaning and Maintenance

In case fabric finish residues should melt on the soleplate, these can be removed by using a rough cloth soaked in a vinegar water solution. Dry with a soft cloth. There are various products available that can be used as cleansing agents for the soleplate in cases, where burned cloth fibres or others stick to the soleplate. We have not tested all these products and a possible use of such products is therefore the user's responsibility. Damage to the soleplate or the iron due to the use of a cleansing agent is not covered by the warranty.

Do not use sharp objects or scratching detergents for the cleaning of the soleplate, as such products will scratch the soleplate and thereby shorten the lifetime of the iron considerably. Always remember to empty the iron completely in order to avoid unnecessary scaling.

Never pour vinegar or other available descaling product in the iron itself. Do not use demineralised or distilled water. Such liquids may combine with the metallic parts of the iron and damage it. Damages to the iron or garments due to the use of other liquids than tap water are not covered by the warranty.

Disposal of the appliance

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment shall be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

Warranty

Warranty according to current law. Any claim shall be accompanied by the cash receipt with purchase date. When raising a claim the appliance must be returned to the store of purchase.
