Frequently Asked Questions - AFPV0316 ADX

How do I adjust the weight of the AFPV0316 mouse?
The mouse includes 8 metal weights of 3.3 g each. To adjust, open the weight compartment on the bottom using the switch, then add or remove weights as desired. Store unused weights in the provided rounded container.
How do I install the AFPV0316 software?
Insert the included setup disc into your CD-ROM drive. If auto-run fails, navigate to the disc and run AFPV0316_Setup.exe. Follow the on-screen instructions. After installation, launch AFPV0316 Configuration.exe from the desktop.
How can I customize the mouse buttons?
Open the software and go to ASSIGN BUTTONS. Select a button (except left click unless another left click is set) and choose a function from the list. You can also assign macros via MACRO MANAGER.
How do I change the DPI settings?
You can change DPI using the buttons on top of the mouse (marked with DPI) or via the software under DPI Setting. The resolution range is 800 to 16400 dpi. The selected DPI is indicated by the DPI LED.
How do I configure the mouse lighting?
Open the software and select LIGHT. You can adjust the color, brightness, and blinking sequence of the RGB LED.
What polling rate should I use?
The polling rate determines how often the mouse reports its position to the computer. Options: 125 Hz (8 ms), 250 Hz (4 ms), 500 Hz (2 ms), and 1000 Hz (1 ms). Higher rates reduce reaction time but may use more CPU. Set it in the software under ADVANCED > Polling Rate.
What should I do if the mouse moves erratically?
Try using a different surface (e.g., a mouse pad). Ensure the USB plug is fully inserted. If the issue persists, restart your computer or try a different USB port.
Can I use the mouse on a Mac or Linux?
The software is designed for Windows 7/8/10. The mouse may work as a basic input device on other operating systems, but advanced features (DPI change, lighting, macros) require the Windows software.
How do I reset the mouse to factory defaults?
In the software, click the Restore to default setting (All profiles) option. This will reset all profiles to factory settings.
Is it safe to look at the laser sensor?
The laser beam is not visible to the naked eye when the mouse is functioning. However, avoid looking directly into the emitter hole while the mouse is active to prevent potential eye damage.
