Handling the Batteries

  • Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause personal injury or damage to property.
  • Install the batteries correctly by following the polarity (+ and −) indications in the battery compartment.
  • Use only the types of batteries which are indicated in this manual.
  • Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix different types of batteries.
  • Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.
  • If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the batteries to avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
  • Due to the short battery life span of some alkaline batteries, it is recommended to use rechargeable batteries. You will need to purchase a charger to charge the rechargeable batteries. This saves cost and is more environmental-friendly.

Mains Power

  • This unit is designed to operate with the provided mains adapter.
  • Connecting the unit to any other power source may cause damage to the unit. Unwind the mains adapter cable to its full length. Connect the end of the cable to the DC IN 6V-500mA Socket at the side of the unit and then connect the mains adapter to the mains socket. Make sure the mains adapter is firmly inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now connected and ready to use.

Using Earphones

Turn down the volume before connecting the earphones. Slowly raise the volume with the earphones on until you reach your desired volume.

When you turn on the radio it will automatically search and store all the available stations. You may conduct an additional Full Scan to ensure all stations are picked up and stored. It is also recommended every few months to run a new scan to pick up any new DAB/DAB+ that may have begun broadcasting after your radio scanned last time.

  1. For initial use, your radio will conduct a full scan and store stations list in memory.
  2. Once the scanning is completed, the DAB/DAB+ stations will be displayed in alphanumeric order. The first station in the list will be selected.

  1. Press MODE button repeatedly to select FM mode.
  2. For initial use, it will start at the beginning of the FM frequency range (87.50 MHz). Or it will play the last FM station you were listening to.
  3. To manually change the FM frequency, make sure no other order/system setting is going on, press ▲▼ buttons to change the frequency by 0.05 MHz per step.
  4. To automatically scan, while FM frequency shows up, press buttons first and then press SELECT button, your radio will skip forwards or backwards until it reached the next available station.

Your radio can store up to 10 of your favourite DAB/DAB+ and FM stations as preset stations. This will enable you to access your favourite stations quickly and easily.

  1. Press and hold the PRESETS button until display show <Preset Store < 1: (Empty) >>.
  2. Press ▲ buttons to browse through the preset numbers 1-10.
  3. Select one preset number and then press SELECT button, display will show .

Recalling Preset Stations

  1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5 mm audio cable (not included) to connect to your external audio device through the AUX IN Socket on the side of unit.

  4. You may operate your audio device directly for playback features.
