Main components (see image on page 3)
- Filler cap
- Tight-fitting lid
- Blender jug
- Removable mounting plate for jug
- Motor unit
- Power switch
- Pusher
8. Control panel
Use
Place the base unit on a flat, stable surface. Place the blender jug on the mounting plate and plug the appliance in.
Add the ingredients to the jug. Always start with liquid/soft ingredients, and then add solid/hard ingredients. NOTE! Never exceed the MAX mark on the jug. The jug can withstand temperatures up to 100°C.
Put the lid on securely and ensure that the filler cap is on when you turn the blender on.
You can add more ingredients directly through the lid by removing the filler cap during blending. Remember to replace the filler cap afterwards.
Do not insert fingers or any objects other than the pusher during blending.
Press the power button located at the bottom of the rear of the motor unit. Then press the Start/Stop button on the control panel. The display will light up and show speed "5" and the time "0:00", and a beep will sound. Select the desired programme depending on what is to be blended (see table below). The corresponding indicator light flashes. You can also set the timer for any time (max 7 min) using the arrow buttons (TIME). If you do not want speed 5, which is the preset speed, change it from 1 to H (highest speed) using the arrow keys (SPEED). See also the graphs on page 4 to see the various programme cycles.
Programmes
FRUIT & VEGETABLES - blending for 2 minutes.
ICE CRUSH - blending for 60 seconds.
SOUP - blending for 7 minutes. Be extra careful not to overfill the jug when selecting this programme.
SEEDS & NUTS - blending for 70 seconds.
SMOOTHIES - blending for 1 minute.
CLEANING - blending for 60 seconds.
PULSE - hold the button in for brief periods to blend the ingredients intermittently.
To start the blender after selecting the programme or blending time, press the Start/Stop button on the control panel and blending will begin.
If the ingredients do not rotate/blend in the jug, press down with the pusher supplied through the hole in the lid to feed the ingredients in.
Please note! With long blending times and/or blending fresh or thawed berries or similar, smoke may appear when you remove the lid. This is due to the motor running at high speed. Try blending for shorter times or use frozen ingredients.
After the programme has finished or the time has counted down, a beep sounds and blending ends. The display returns to showing speed "5" and time "0:00". Then press the power switch on the motor unit and unplug the appliance if it is not to be used further.
The appliance must rest for 5 minutes if the unit has been run for the maximum time (e.g. the SOUP programme). After this new cycle can begin. After a maximum of two cycles, the appliance must rest and cool to room temperature (this takes about 2 minutes).
Helpful tips
- Use a plastic/silicone spatula to scrape ingredients down inside the jug. Never use metal utensils as they may damage the jug and/or the blades.
- After about 5 minutes of continuous use, the jug becomes very hot, so take extra care when handling.
- Once the blender has been in operation for 7 minutes, it switches off automatically unless it is in “SOUP” mode, which blends for 7 minutes. Never blend liquids for longer than a total of 7 minutes.
- Use pulse mode for crushing hard ingredients.
- Make sure that the blender jug is completely dry before blending fresh herbs, garlic, onions, zest, breadcrumbs, nuts and dry spices.
- Do not store ingredients or liquids in the blender jug.
- Never mix carbonated drinks in the blender as excess pressure can form.
Overheating
The appliance is equipped with a thermostat that is activated if the motor becomes overloaded and ensures that the appliance has a long service life. If the thermostat is activated, turn off the appliance and unplug it. Wait 30 minutes before restarting the appliance. Clean the parts as instructed in "Cleaning and maintenance".
Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug before cleaning. Never immerse the base unit in water or other liquids.
Lift the jug from the motor unit and remove the lid. The jug must be cleaned after each use or if it has not been used for a long time. The appliance has a useful automatic cleaning function. Fill the jug halfway with water and add a little washing-up liquid. Select the “CLEANING” programme and press the Start/Stop button on the panel to start. Rinse the jug with water after the cleaning process is finished. Wash the lid in hot water with a little washing-up liquid, then rinse thoroughly.
The jug, blades and filler cap are dishwasher safe.
Plastic parts may be discoloured by food such as carrots, beetroot, etc. Grease the parts with a little vegetable oil before cleaning them.
To clean the motor unit, wipe the exterior with a cloth moistened with mild detergent. Wipe with a dry towel and make sure the motor unit is completely dry after cleaning.
Check that the appliance and all its parts are completely dry before use and that the mounting plate is in place before fitting the jug.
IMPORTANT!
THE MOTOR SECTION MUST NEVER BE IMMERSED IN ANY LIQUID!
Disposing of the appliance

By law, electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for the recycling of components. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the waste management symbol must be disposed of at a municipal recycling point.
