Safety
- Please read the entire manual and save it for future use.
- The product may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. - Warning! Do not open the casing. Certain components within the product's casing contain dangerous currents. Contact with these may give you an electric shock.
- The rice cooker should only be repaired by qualified service personnel.
- Connect the rice cooker only to an earthed socket. Disconnect the mains lead after use. Pull the plug, not the lead.
- Never leave the product unsupervised when it is connected to an electrical socket.

Make sure that the heating plate, inner bowl and the magnetic switch are completely dry and clean before you turn the rice cooker on.

Do not place the rice cooker where it could fall into water or another type of liquid.
- Turn on the rice cooker only if the inner bowl is in place.
- Do not touch the product with moist hands.
- Never allow children to use the rice cooker without supervision of an adult. Make sure that the lead does not hang downward so that children can pull the rice cooker over themselves.
- Do not immerse the casing in water and do not rinse it under the tap.
- Never use the product if the plug, mains lead or other parts are damaged.
- Do not use the rice cooker to defrost frozen food.
- The inner bowl is only intended to be used in the rice cooker. Never place it directly on a source of heating e.g. heating plate.
- Protect the mains lead from hot or sharp objects.
- The product is intended only for use indoors.
- Place the product on a level, heat resistant surface. Make sure that flammable materials such as curtains, furniture, bedclothes, paper, fabric or wood are not too close.
- Do not place the rice cooker on or close to a heat source such as an electric stove, oven or heater.
- Always unplug the lead and let the rice cooker cool down before cleaning.
- Clean the rice cooker regularly.
- The surface of the rice cooker becomes warm when in use.
- Do not use any accessories other than those accompanying the rice cooker.
- Do NOT block the steam opening with something such as a dish cloth when the rice cooker is being used.
- The rice cooker is intended only for use in a home environment, not for professional use.

Before using the rice cooker for the first time
- Remove all packaging from the rice cooker.
- Wipe the inside of the rice cooker with a cloth moistened with dishwashing detergent, and then dry it with a dry cloth.
- Clean the non-stick coating of the container with a dry wash cloth.
- The rice cooker is now ready for use.
Cooking rice
- Place the rice cooker on a level surface.
- Measure the rice according to the instructions on the rice package with the included measuring cup.
- Pour the rice into a bowl or some other suitable container and rinse thoroughly.
- Pour the rinsed rice into the inner bowl.
- Add water to the rice according to the instructions on the rice package.
- Open the rice cooker's cover and check that the heating plate, inner bowl and the magnetic switch are completely dry and clean before you put the inner bowl in.
- Close the cover.
- Connect the mains lead first to the rice cooker and then to the wall socket. Press the power switch. The yellow indicator light will light up and indicate that the keep-warm function (WARM) is activated.
- Press down the WARM/COOK-switch. It will stop in the lower cooking position "COOK" if the inner bowl has been correctly placed in the rice cooker.
- When the rice is ready the "COOK" light will turn off and the rice cooker will automatically return to the keep warm function and the yellow indicator light "WARM" turns on.
- Open the cover directly and mix the rice when it is ready. Then close the cover to continue with keep warm.
- Turn the product off using the power switch. Disconnect the mains lead from the wall socket after use.
Steaming vegetables
- Follow points 1 to 6 in Cooking rice.
- Place the vegetables (or other suitable food) in the steamer or put it on a dish in the steamer bowl.
- Close the cover.
- Connect the mains lead first to the rice cooker and then to the wall socket. Press the power switch. The yellow indicator light will light up and indicate that the keep-warm function (WARM) is activated.
- Press down the WARM/COOK-switch. It will stop in the lower cooking position "COOK" if the inner bowl has been correctly placed in the rice cooker.
- When the vegetables are ready the "COOK" light will turn off and the rice cooker will automatically return to the keep warm function. The yellow indicator light "WARM" turns on.
- Carefully remove the steamed food. Bear in mind that it is very hot and use an oven mitten, potholder, etc.
Cleaning
- Turn the product off using the power switch, unplug the mains lead from the wall socket and let the rice cooker cool completely before cleaning it.
- Take out the steaming bowl and inner bowl. Let them sit in water a little while. Carefully pull away the inner cover from the holder in the middle and take away the water dome.
- Clean the loose parts: Use a dish cloth or a moistened sponge with warm water and mild dish detergent.
- Wipe the rice cooker with a dry dish cloth. Make sure that the rice cooker is completely dry before you put it away.
- Never use steel wool or other abrasive material, sharp utensils or other strong detergents or solutions!
- Never immerse the product in fluid.
- Wipe off the rice cooker's outside and inside (including the heating plate) with a dish cloth which is lightly moistened with clean water. Dry with a dry cloth.
- Make sure that the rice cooker is completely dry before you put it away.
Troubleshooting
