Connecting to the Mains Supply

  • This unit is designed to operate with an AC power supply or with the built-in battery.
  • Unwind the mains adapter cable to its full length. Connect the end of the cable to the DC IN 12V—1A

- Socket at the rear of the unit and then connect the mains adapter to the mains socket. Make sure the mains adapter is firmly inserted into the mains socket. It starts battery charging and the unit is now ready to use.

  • Charge the internal battery for 8 hours before first time use. Do not overcharge the unit. The unit will automatically charge battery when unit connected to mains socket, and it will automatically stop charging once the battery fully charged.
  • Once the unit connected to mains socket, the main unit will use mains power automatically.

Charging from the USB OUTPUT Charging Port

The USB OUTPUT 5V=TA Charging Port is designed only for charging mobile devices (e.g. MP3 player, mobile phone, etc). It supplies 5V DC at a charging current of up to 1000 mA (1A).

Use a USB cable (not included) to connect mobile device to the USB OUTPUT 5V-A Charging Port of the unit and the mobile device will start charging.

ONLY use the USB OUTPUT 5V→A Charging Port to charge small mobile devices. NEVER use this port for any other purpose.

Using Earphones

Turn down the volume before connecting the earphones. Slowly raise the volume with the earphones on until you reach your desired volume. When earphones are connected, the speakers automatically mutes.

Powering ON/OFF

While using battery power:

  • Press to switch the unit on.
  • Press again to switch the unit off.

While using mains power:

  • Press to switch the unit on.
  • Press 📁/1 again to switch the unit in Standby mode.
  • To switch the unit off completely, unplug the power adapter from the mains socket.

Adjusting the Volume

- Turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial clockwise/anticlockwise to increase/decrease the volume.

Language

  1. Press MENU button and then turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial to select . Press SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm.

Factory Reset

When you turn on the radio it will automatically search and store all the available stations. You may conduct an additional Full Scan to ensure all stations are picked up and stored. It is also recommended every few months to run a new scan to pick up any new DAB/DAB+ that may have begun broadcasting after your radio scanned last time.

  1. For initial use, your radio will conduct a full scan and store stations list in memory.
  2. Once the scanning is completed, the DAB/DAB+ stations will be displayed in alphanumeric order. The first station in the list will be selected.

This feature enables your radio to scan for all available stations in DAB mode.

This feature enables you to select a station from available station list.

  2. Alternatively, while a program is playing, press TUNE/VOL. button and then turn SCROLL/SELECT dial to show station list.
  3. Turn SCROLL/SELECT dial to browse stations list, and then press SCROLL/SELECT button to confirm. The selected station will be broadcasting.

Viewing Station Information

It is possible to view the information that is displayed on the display when listening to a DAB/DAB+ program by pressing the INFO Button repeatedly. The display will show the information through Scrolling text, Signal strength, Program Type, Ensemble, Frequency, Signal quality, Bitrate and Codec, Format, Time and Date.

Your radio can store up to 10 of your favourite DAB/DAB+ stations as preset stations. This will enable you to access your favourite stations quickly and easily.

While a station is playing, you can:

- Press and hold one of preset buttons 1/6, 2/7, 3/8, 4/9 or 5/10 until display shows .

- Press SHIFT button and then press and hold one of preset buttons 1/6, 2/7, 3/8, 4/9 or 5/10 until display shows .

Recalling Preset Stations

  1. Press MODE button to select the DAB mode.
  2. Press one of preset buttons 1/6, 2/7, 3/8, 4/9 or 5/10 to broadcast to the preset station 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.
  3. Press SHIFT button and then press one of preset buttons 1/6, 2/7, 3/8, 4/9 or 5/10 to broadcast the preset station 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10.

Selecting FM Mode

  1. Press MODE button repeatedly to select FM mode.
  2. For initial use, it will start at the beginning of the FM frequency range (87.50MHz). Or it will play the last FM station you were listening to.
  3. To manually change the FM frequency, make sure no other order/system setting is going on. Press TUNE/VOL. button and then turn SCROLL/SELECT dial to change the frequency by 0.05MHz per step.

  4. To automatically scan, while FM frequency shows up, press TUNE/VOL. button and then turn SCROLL/SELECT dial. Press SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm. Your radio will skip forwards or backwards until it reached the next available station.

Pair the unit with a Bluetooth ^® device to listen to music:

  1. Press MODE button repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode.

NFC enables you pair and connect with Bluetooth ^® devices in a easy way.

  1. Press MODE button repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode.
  2. Make sure that your NFC is turned "On" on your mobile device.
  3. Hold your mobile device about 2cm close to NFC logo on the left side of unit for receiving an auto-connection between your mobile device and radio.
  4. Your device then will turn-on Bluetooth® automatically and will pair your device with radio. No additional settings are necessary.

AUX IN Mode

The AUX IN mode allows for quick and easy connection to an MP3 player or other external audio sources.

  1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5 mm audio cable (not included) to connect to your external audio device through the AUX IN Socket on the rear side of the unit.
  2. Connect power adapter to mains socket, press ⏻/1 button to switch unit on.
  3. Press MODE button repeatedly to select (AUX IN) mode.

The unit will automatically switch to standby mode (running by Main power) or off (running by Battery power) after 10 minutes if the source device is disconnect, switch off or the volume is too close to mute.

Setting Sleep

This function enables your unit to switch to standby mode by itself after a set sleep time when unit runs by mains power.

  1. Press MENU button, and then turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial to select . Press SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm.

  2. Turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial to view options: Sleep off, 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. Select Sleep off and then press the SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm. Sleep function will be switched off.

  3. Turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial to select 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. Press the SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm. The sleep icon will show on the display. To view the set sleep time, redo above step 1.

Setting Equaliser

This feature enables you to set a sound equalization profile. The equalization setting will change the tone of the sound from your radio.

  1. Press MENU button, and then turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial to select . Press the SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm.
  2. Turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial to browse through Treble and Bass, and then press the SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm.
  3. Turn the SCROLL/SELECT dial to set the level of Treble and Bass, and then press the SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm.

Setting Contrast

This feature enables you to change the contrast of power on mode.

  1. Press MENU button, turn SCROLL/SELECT dial to select , and then press SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm.
  2. Turn SCROLL/SELECT dial to select through contrast level: High, Medium or Low, and then press SCROLL/SELECT dial to confirm.
