BEFORE USE

Before the appliance is used for the first time, read through the instruction manual carefully and save it for later use.

USE

Volumaster is the perfect tool to get that extra volume and a lift from the scalp. Thin hair looks incredible full after using the Volumaster.

Make sure that the hair is completely dry and comb it through. It's important that the hair is completely dry. Hair mousse may well be used before you dry your hair. If you have very thick hair you can use hair clips to separate the hair to make the styling easier.

Place the appliance on a flat surface that sustains heat. Plug the appliance and press the switch I/O to start it, the pilot lamp lights. Se the desired temperature with the temperature knob. The temperature range is between 120 and 180°C, see further info under “Temperature settings”. After ca 1 minute the Volumaster is ready to use. Never use the appliance on wigs and artificial hair without testing on a thin hair section first, otherwise the wig/artificial hair may melt.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS

The temperature is adjusted with the variable temperature knob on the side of the straightener. The lowest temperature setting is 120° C and the highest is 180° C. Select suitable temperature for your hair type. Note! Too high temperature setting may damage your hair. See recommended

temperatures according to hair type below:

Always select the lowest temperature level (120°C) when using your straightener for the first time.

Select a low temperature (120-140°C) for thin, bleached or coloured hair.

Select a low/medium (140-160°C) temperature for normal hair.

Select a medium/high temperature (160-180°C) for very thick hair.

If you choose to start from the top of the head we recommend that you skip the top layer (around the parting) so that you ensure that the top layer stays straight. The top layer should therefore not be styled with the Volumaster but will automatically get the volume when the rest of the hair is styled.

Take a hair section of appr. 5 cm. You will get the best result if you back comb the hair sections slightly before you use Volumaster. By back combing the hair the effect from the Volumaster will last longer and at the same time make the waves less visible when the hair is brushed after ended styling.

Spread the hair section between the plates with the largest wave next to the hairline and close the appliance. Press for 1-2 seconds for best result. Note! 1-2 seconds is enough for desired result. Longer period can damage your hair and does not improve the result. Note that you should only use Volumaster closest to the hairline. Do not place your fingers near the hot plates. Proceed with the next hair section. If you need to repeat the same hair section, wait until the hair has cooled off.

If you are short of time, you can easily get extra volume by using Volumaster only where you need that extra volume.

Brush or comb your hair after ended styling, especially the back combed

sections. Finish the styling by using curler or straightener if you wish.

Keep the hot parts of the appliance away from scalp, face, neck and hands. Shut off the appliance after use by pressing the switch and pull the plug. The Volumaster can be stored in the enclosed heat resistant sleeve before you put it in a bag or similar. If you like to activate the locking function, simply press the plates together and push the round button located at the end of the handle, marked with a pad lock symbol. To unlock, press the plates again and push the round button in the opposite direction until the plates are released.

AUTO-OFF FUNCTION

The straightener has an automatic switch off function that activates after ca 60 minutes. Note

that you have to unplug the appliance to turn it off completely. The auto-off function is meant as an extra safety precaution, so remember to always unplug the appliance after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Shot off the appliance and unplug it. Let the appliance cool completely on a heat resistant surface before cleaning. Make sure that the appliance is out of reach for children. The appliance gets very hot during use and it will take time for it to cool down.
• Never immerse the appliance or cord in water or other liquids. It must never come in direct contact with water.
• Do not let water escape under the cover.
• Dry the appliance cover and appliance with a damp cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth.
• Keep the plates free from dirt.
• Do not wind the cord around the appliance since it may damage the cord.
  • Make sure that the appliance has cooled completely before storage.
  • Store the appliance on a dry safe place away from children after use.

DISPOSAL OF THE APPLIANCE

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

WARRANTY

Claim according to valid law. Machine stamped receipt shall be enclosed if one wishes to make a complaint. The appliance shall be returned to the store where it was purchased.
