Do not use while folded
Safety
- This electric blanket must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from physical or mental impairment. This electric blanket should not be used by anyone that has not read the instruction manual unless they have been instructed in its use by someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
- Make sure that you know how the electric blanket works before using it.
- Never let children play with the electric blanket.
- Only allow children to use the blanket if it has been preprogrammed by an adult or if the child knows how to use the blanket safely.
- The electric blanket should only be used as described in the instruction manual.
- The electric blanket is designed exclusively for non-commercial indoor use. The electric blanket must not be used for medicinal purposes at a hospital.
- Make sure that the electric blanket or its control unit do not come too close to sources of heat such as cookers and heaters, neither should they be exposed to direct sunlight.
- Always turn the blanket off by sliding the ON/OFF switch to OFF before unplugging or plugging the blanket in to an electrical socket.
- Do not abuse the mains lead. Make sure that the mains lead does not come into contact with heat, sharp edges or is crushed.
- Never immerse the electric blanket or control unit in water.
- Never position the mains lead where people might trip over it.
- Never use the lead to pull or jerk the plug from the wall socket. Grip and pull the plug, not the lead.
- Never use the electric blanket on an adjustable bed, there is a risk of it being crushed and damaged.
- The electric blanket should only be connected to a 230 V, 50 Hz power supply.

The electric blanket must only be used as an overblanket; it must under no circumstances be covered by another blanket or used as an underblanket and tucked in under other sheets.

The electric blanket must be fully unfolded before it is connected to the power supply.
- Do not use the blanket if it is wet or moist.
- Inspect the blanket regularly and do not use it if it is in any way damaged or malfunctioning.
- Never stick sharp objects such as needles or pins into the blanket.
- Never lie on top of the electric blanket.
- Never leave the electric blanket unattended for long periods when it is switched on.
- Never use the electric blanket to warm animals.
- Only use the electric blanket with control unit KDA6-FT.
- Not for use on infants, persons unable to move or persons insensitive to heat.
- Always consult a doctor or healthcare professional before using the blanket if you have any kind of electronic implant such as a pacemaker.
- Do not dry clean or tumble dry.
- Tests/repairs should only be conducted by a qualified tradesman.
- Never immerse the electric blanket or control unit in water.
Care and maintenance

- Always unplug the mains lead from the wall socket and disconnect the control unit from the blanket before cleaning or when the blanket is not in use.
- Let the blanket cool down before folding it up for storage.
- Make sure not to crease the electric blanket when folding it.
Cleaning
- Clean the control unit using a lightly moistened cloth. Only use mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
- The electric blanket can be washed by hand or in a machine (washing by hand is kinder on the product).
Washing by hand
- Disconnect the control unit from the blanket.
- Wipe the blanket with a soft damp cloth. Only use mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals, bleach or conditioner.
Washing by machine
- Disconnect the control unit from the blanket.
- Place the blanket into a mesh bag and close the bag.
- Set the machine to "Gentle wash"* and 40°C (refer to the washing machine instruction manual if in doubt). Use as little detergent as necessary.
• This symbol means: 40^ C with half load and short spin.
Post-wash blanket care
- Drape the electric blanket over a washing line to dry, do not secure it with pegs.
• The electric blanket must not be wrung out or tumbledried. - Do not iron the electric blanket.
- Do not let the electric blanket dry in strong sunlight.
- Never try to dry the electric blanket by switching it on while it is wet.
- Never try to dry the blanket using a hair dryer.
- Make sure that the electric blanket is completely dry before folding it up for storage.
- If the electric blanket is not to be used for a long time, store it in its original packaging in a cool and dry place.

Operating instructions
Note: Ensure that the control unit is always within reach when the electric blanket is switched on.
- Connect the lead from the control unit to the blanket.

Connect the mains lead to a wall socket.

Turn the electric blanket on by sliding the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.

Press [temperature set] the required number of times to select the desired temperature setting from "low" to "high". There are 5 heat settings, indicated by the corresponding number of LEDs. Note: The blanket takes some time to reach the set temperature. It could therefore be prudent to unfold the blanket and switch it on about 30 minutes before you intend to use it.
- If the blanket has been switched on to full power "high" for one hour, an automatic safety feature will lower the heat setting down to "low" to prevent the blanket from overheating.
- If the electric blanket is to be used for longer than an hour, it should be set to heat setting 1 or 2 (one or two LEDs lit).

Timer function
- Press [time set] to set the timer.
- The timer can be set for up to 8 hours in 1-hour increments.
- One press: 1 hour, two presses: 2 hours and so on.
- The set time is indicated by LEDs. In the pictured example, the timer is set for 6 hours.
- Press [cancel] to cancel the timer setting.

This electric blanket should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.
Troubleshooting guide
