Frequently Asked Questions - 245106 Exido

How do I set the water temperature on my Exido 245106 boiler?
Use the temperature dial on the front of the boiler. Turn it to your desired setting, typically between 30°C and 75°C. Wait for the water to heat up.
Why is my boiler leaking water?
Common causes include a faulty pressure relief valve, loose connections, or a damaged tank. Check the valve and connections first. If the leak persists, consult a professional.
How often should I descale the boiler?
Descaling is recommended every 6 months to prevent limescale buildup, especially in hard water areas. Use a descaling solution suitable for electric water heaters.
What does the pressure relief valve do?
The pressure relief valve automatically releases excess pressure to prevent tank rupture. If it discharges water frequently, the pressure may be too high; check your expansion tank.
How can I reduce my energy consumption?
Set the thermostat to 50-60°C, insulate exposed pipes, and consider an insulation blanket around the tank. Also, reduce hot water usage.
What should I do if the water is not heating?
Check the power supply and circuit breaker. If power is on, the thermostat or heating element may be faulty. These are replaceable spare parts.
Can I install the boiler myself?
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional to ensure proper electrical and plumbing connections and compliance with local codes.
How do I replace the sacrificial anode?
The anode should be inspected every 2 years. To replace, drain the tank, remove the old anode (usually located on top), and install a new one. Tighten securely.
Why does my boiler make a rumbling noise?
Rumbling is often caused by sediment buildup at the bottom of the tank. Flushing the boiler regularly (every 6-12 months) can reduce noise.
What is the warranty period?
The Exido 245106 comes with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. Retain your purchase receipt for warranty claims.
