Why is there no sound from the TV?

The remote control is not working. What should I do?
Remove any obstacles between the remote and the TV sensor. Check that batteries are installed with correct polarity (+ and -) and are not depleted. Try replacing with new AAA batteries. Ensure the remote is set to the correct mode (TV, not VCR).
How should I clean the TV screen?
Turn off and unplug the TV. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with a mixture of lukewarm water and a mild dishwashing detergent. Wring the cloth until nearly dry, then gently wipe the screen. Allow it to air-dry before turning on.
