PART 1: IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

■ Read all instructions carefully.
■ To protect against risk of electric shock, do not put mixer, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
■ This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
■ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
■ Turn unit off and unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn off, grasp plug, and pull from wall. Never yank on cord.

■ Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils, away from beater, whisk or dough hooks during operation to prevent injury to persons, and / or damage to the mixer.
■ Remove mixing tools from mixer before washing.
- Keep hands and other utensils out of container while mixing food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the unit is not running.
■ Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

■ The use of attachments, not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
Do not use outdoors.

■ Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch not surfaces, including the stove.
■ Mixing flammable non-food substances can be harmful.
■ Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
■ Do not operate in the presence of explosive and / or flammable fumes.

PART 3: BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

  1. Remove all packaging materials.
  2. Place the mixer on a dry level surface. Do not plug unit in until completely assembled.
  3. Wash the parts. See "Cleaning and maintenance".

PART 4: TO USE THE MIXER

  1. Insert attachments.
  2. Set speed control to "OFF". Plug mixer cord into 220-240 volt AC electrical outlet.
  3. Move the speed control to the speed of your choice. (For help in selecting the best speed, see the Mixing Chart in this booklet.)
  4. Begin mixing on speed 1, then increase speed as needed during mixing.
  5. When mixing is complete, move speed control to OFF before lifting mixing tools out of the bowl.
  6. When you finished using the mixer, move speed control to OFF and unplug mixer, press the eject button to release and remove the mixing tools.

PART 5: CHOOSING A SPEED

  • If you have got something in the bowl that might splash (e.g. cream or flour), start on the lowest speed, then increase it if necessary.
    • If you hear the machine laboring, increase the speed.

The guide may help you select a speed for most tasks. These guides are recommendations. Please adjust mixer speed as needed.

PART 6: CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always switch off and unplug before cleaning.
• Never let the power unit, flex or plug get wet.
• Use the appliance is intended for household use only.
• If the flex cord is damaged it must, for safety reasons, be replaced by authorized repair.
- Wipe the power unit with a damp cloth, then leave to air-dry. Do not use abrasives or immerse in water.
- Wash all mixing tools by hand, then dry thoroughly.
• The motor of your mixer does not require any lubrication or other maintenance. Do not disassemble.
