Frequently Asked Questions - GS68-BJ SALAV

How long does it take for the steamer to produce steam?
The steam ready time is between 45 to 80 seconds, depending on the steam setting selected.
What type of water should I use?
Distilled or filtered water is strongly recommended to prevent mineral buildup and extend the life of the steamer.
Can I use the steamer horizontally?
No, the steamer must be used in a vertical position. Tilting it backwards or using it horizontally may cause hot water discharge and burns.
How do I drain the water reservoir?
Turn off and unplug the unit, let it cool for at least 30 minutes, then unscrew the drain plug and empty the reservoir. Always tighten the plug before next use.
How do I remove mineral buildup?
Mix a water and vinegar solution (e.g., 1:1 ratio) and pour it into the reservoir. Let it sit for 40 minutes, then drain and rinse with clean water. Screw the drain plug back securely.
Can I steam clothes while wearing them?
No, never direct steam at people or animals. Do not use the steamer on garments while they are being worn to avoid injury from hot steam.
What is the capacity of the water tank?
The water tank capacity is 1.8 liters.
What should I do if the steam output is weak?
Check water level, ensure the unit is turned on and at a high steam setting. If still weak, perform descaling with vinegar solution to remove mineral deposits.
Can I use extension cords?
It is recommended to plug the steamer directly into a wall outlet. Avoid using extension cords or sharing the outlet with other high-wattage appliances.
How do I store the steamer after use?
Turn off and unplug the unit, allow it to cool completely (at least 30 minutes). Drain the water tank and reservoir, collapse the telescopic pole, and store in a dry place.
