How do I switch between grams and ounces (g/oz version)?
To change the weighing mode on the dual version, press and hold the ON/TARE and OFF buttons simultaneously until the mode switches. Release the buttons to select the desired unit (g or oz).
What should I do if the display shows "Lo"?
"Lo" indicates low batteries. Replace the 4 R03/24F batteries following the instructions in the battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity.
How do I clean the scale?
Wipe the scale clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Is the scale accurate?
The Tanita KD-160 is a precision instrument with a minimum graduation of 1 g (or 0.06 oz). It is designed for accurate weighing. Avoid strong shocks or vibrations to maintain accuracy.
Can I weigh items directly on the scale without a container?
Yes, you can place items directly on the tray. For containers, use the tare function to zero out the container weight before adding ingredients.
What is the maximum weight the scale can measure?
The maximum capacity is 2 kg (or 70 oz for the dual version). Do not exceed this limit to avoid damage.
How should I store the scale when not in use?
Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long time. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If moved to a location with a temperature change greater than 10°C (50°F), allow the scale to acclimate for 2 hours before use.
