How do I use the tare function?

Repeatedly press the UNIT button to cycle through the available units: g, oz, lb, kg. The selected unit will appear on the display.

How do I replace the battery?

Open the battery compartment cover on the underside. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 lithium battery with correct polarity. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Close the cover securely.

What does "LO" mean on the display?

What does "EEEE" mean on the display?

The "EEEE" indicator means the scale is overloaded. The maximum capacity is 5 kg. Remove the load immediately to avoid damaging the scale.

Does the scale have an auto-off feature?

Weighing

1. Place the weighing scale on a flat, hard and stable surface.
2. Place kitchen bowl, if used, on the scale before switching on.
3. By pressing the ON push button switch on the weighing mode, wait for the O symbol to be displayed at bottom left to indicate that the weighing scale is in stable position, subsequently weighing may proceed.
4. Place weighted object on the scale or into kitchen bowl. Weight of the object shall be shown on the LCD display.
5. Desired weight unit g/oz/lb/kg is set by repetitively pressing the UNIT push button.
6. Weighing scale may be switched off by prolonged pressing of the OFF push button or after 2 minutes it will automatically switch off.

TARE function (reweighing)

It measures gradually added weight of different amounts to the previous remaining weight.

1. Place first amount on the scale and its weight shall be displayed.
2. Before placing the next amount on the scale press the TARE push button and the display is reset to zero. Now the next amount may be added. This operation may be carried out repeatedly.

Replacing the battery

1. Open the battery compartment's cover located underneath.
2. Remove used battery.
3. Insert new battery. Observe correct polarity. Use lithium battery only. Do not use rechargeable battery.
4. Close the cover.

Maintenance and cleaning

1. Clean with a slightly damp cloth and ensure that water does not penetrate inside the weighing scale. Do not use chemical cleaning agents/abrasive cleaning agents. Do not immerse in water!
2. All plastic parts in contact with greasy substances such as spices, vinegar or seasoning must be cleaned immediately. Avoid staining by sour citrus juice!
3. Always keep in horizontal position.
