8) To limit the risk of a fire inside the oven:
Use only dishes appropriate for use in microwave ovens.

9) If you notice smoke, turn off the appliance and pull the power plug out of the socket. Leave the oven door closed to prevent potential fire from spreading.

14) Eggs in their shells and whole hard boiled eggs must not be heated in the microwave oven because they could explode.
15) Before cooking prick foods with a thick peel, such as potatoes, pumpkins, apples and chestnuts.
16) The content of baby bottles and baby food needs to be mixed or shaken before being served to the infant and the temperature needs to be checked to prevent burns.
17) Kitchen dishes may become hot as a result of the heat transferred from the heated food. Sometimes it may be necessary to use protective gloves.

18) IMPORTANT - kitchen dishes and utensils, which must not be used in the microwave oven:

• metal pans and crockery with metal handles or with metal decorations
• clamps on plastic bags
• dishes with melamine surface treatment
• standard thermometers, which are used for measuring the temperature of meat etc.

SAFETY MEASURES FOR THE PREVENTION OF THE POSSIBLE RISK OF EXPOSURE TO MICROWAVE ENERGY

1) Do not attempt to use the microwave oven when the door is open - you could expose yourself to the damaging effects of microwaves. It is important that you do not damage or modify the safety locks on the microwave oven door.
2) Do not block the back part of the oven and the door with any object and make sure that dirt or remains of detergent do not accumulate on the oven seals.
3) Do not use the oven if it is damaged. It is extremely important for the oven door to close properly and that the following parts are not damaged:

a. door (that they are not bent),
b. door hinges and locks (damaged or loose),
c. door seals and other seals.

4) The Microwave oven may only be adjusted or repaired by a qualified service technician.

EARTHING INSTRUCTIONS

This microwave oven must be earthed. The microwave oven is equipped with a power cord, which has a earthing wire with an earthed power plug. The power plug must be connected to an electric power socket, which is properly installed and earthed. This reduces the risk of receiving an electric shock if a short circuit occurs - in such a case the electric current goes through the earthing wire. We recommend that the oven be connected to an independent electrical circuit. The use of high voltage is dangerous and may lead to a fire or another accident that can damage the oven.

An incorrectly earthed power socket may present a danger of electric shock.

Note:

1) If you have any questions regarding earthing or electrical instructions, consult everything with a qualified electrician or repair person.
2) Neither the manufacturer nor the seller take any responsibility for whatever damage to the oven or personal injury resulting from an incorrect electrical connection procedure.

The use of the oven may cause interference to your radio, television or similar receivers.

If interference occurs, it may be limited by the following measures:

1) Keeping the door and the surface of the oven seals clean.
2) Redirecting the radio or television signal reception antenna.
3) Moving the microwave oven further away from the receiver.
4) Connection of the microwave oven to a different power socket with its own independent electrical circuit.

INSTALLATION

1) Make sure that you have taken all packaging materials, such as plastic bags, polystyrene, etc. out from inside the oven.
2) WARNING: Check the oven for any damage, e.g. whether the oven doors are correctly seated or dented, whether the seal on the door or other parts is damaged, or the door hinges and locks are destroyed or loosened or whether the inside of the oven or door is dented. If you discover any damage, do not use the oven and contact a qualified repair person.
3) The microwave oven must be placed on an even, stable surface, that can bear its weight even with the food inserted.
4) Do not located the oven near sources of heat, in locations with increased humidity or near flammable materials.
5) For proper operation the oven must have sufficient ventilation. Allow free space of 20 cm above the top surface of the oven, 10 cm from behind and 5 cm on the sides. Do not block any opening of the oven. Do not remove the legs of the oven.
6) The appliance is designed to be used in free space, it is not designed to be built-in.
7) Do not use the oven without the rotating glass plate, rotating ring and drive mechanism installed.
8) Never place the rotating plate upside down. Te glass plate must never be blocked or otherwise restricted in its movement. If the rotating ring or the glass plate are damaged or destroyed contact you nearest retailer or authorised service centre. Always place all food and containers on the glass plate.
9) Make sure that the power cord is not damaged, or under the under side of the oven or in contact with hot or sharp surfaces.
10) The electrical power socket must be easily accessible for the situation, where it may be necessary to quickly pull out the power cord.
11) Do not use the oven outdoors.

② Power Level Press this button repeatedly to set the microwave power level.

⑨ Start / Quick Start Press the controller to start a program. Press the controller repeatedly to set the heating time and the oven will automatically switch to full power.

THE BASICS OF COOKING IN A MICROWAVE OVEN

1) Carefully organise the food. Place the largest food pieces on the perimeter of the dish.
2) Do not prepare food directly on the rotating glass plate. Always place the food on an appropriate dish before putting it into the oven.
3) Set the correct cooking time. Use short time periods for cooking, if necessary extend them. When cooking foods at high temperatures smoke may be created or a fire may start.
4) Cover the food before cooking. Covering the food will prevent juices from squirting and will help to achieve even cooking.
5) To speed up the cooking of foods, such as chickens or hamburgers, turn them over once during cooking. Large pieces of food such as roasts must be turned over at least once.
6) While cooking organise foods similar to hamburgers from the top down and from the centre of the dish to its edge.

GUIDE TO KITCHEN DISHES

1) The ideal type of dish for cooking in the microwave oven is a transparent container, which permits the penetration of microwaves inside for the heating of food.
2) Microwaves cannot pass through metals, so metal dishes or bowls with metal rims should not be used.
3) Do not use recycled paper products that may contain small metal particles for cooking in the microwave.
4) It is better to use round/oval-shaped containers than square/rectangular ones, food tends to over cook in them.
5) You should use containers suitable for microwave ovens only in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer. This general list will help you select the right dishes.

After connecting the power plug into the power socket the microwave oven will beep and the display will turn on. This is a normal event.

Every time a button is pressed it beeps. A single beep means that the oven accepts the input information, two peeps means that the oven does not accept the performed action. It is necessary to check the settings and try setting again.

After completing a cooking program, the microwave oven will beep 3 times and "End" will be shown on the screen. Press any button to return to the stand-by mode.

Setting the time

Example: If you wish to set 8:30.

1) In the stand-by mode repeatedly press the Clock button and select the 12- or 24-hour time mode.
2) Turn the controller Weight / Time and set the number 8.
3) Press the Clock button.
4) Turn the controller Weight / Time and set the number 30.
5) Press the Clock button to confirm the setting.

Note:

While heating you may press the Clock button to check the time.

Cooking using a microwave

The longest period of time for which it is possible to set the cooking time is 95 minutes. Press the Power Level button repeatedly to set the microwave power level.

Example: You wish to cook for 5 minutes at a 60% power level.

1) Press the Stop / Cancel button.
2) Press the Power Level button repeatedly to set the microwave power level.
3) Turn the controller Weight / Time and set 5:00.
4) Press the Start /Quick Start button.

Note:

1) You can press the Power Level button while cooking to check the set power level.
2) After the set cooking period (defrosting) the display will show "End" and a sound signal will be emitted. Press any button to return to the stand-by mode.

Quick start

This function makes it possible to turn on the microwave oven at maximum power for a period of 30 seconds. The longest period of time which can be set is 10 minutes.

In the stand-by mode press the Start/Quick Start button to start heating. After completing the cooking the oven will beep three times.

While heating, you can extend the heating time by pressing the Start/Quick Start button.

Defrosting based on weight

The oven can defrost food based on the weight inserted. The defrost time and power are pre-set, as soon as the food weight is entered. Weight can be set in the range 100 g to 1800 g) Example: You want to defrost 600 g of prawns.

1) Insert the prawns into the oven and close the oven door.
2) Press the Stop / Cancel button.
3) Press the Weight Defrost button once.
4) Turn the controller and set 600 g
5) Press the Start /Quick Start controller.

Note: During the defrost process the system will stop and a sound will be emitted, which means that the food needs to be turned over. After turning over, rearranging the food press the Start / Quick Start button to continue in the defrosting process.

Delayed start function

The delayed start function makes it possible to start microwave heating later at a pre-set time.

Example: It is now 9:00 and you want to start microwave cooking at 11:30.

1) Set the microwave heating program.
2) Press the Preset button.
3) Turn the controller Weight / Time and set the hour number to 11.
4) Press the Preset button.
5) Turn the controller Weight / Time and set the minute number to 30.
6) Press the Preset button to confirm.

Note:

1) After setting the function you can check the heating start time by pressing the Preset button. To cancel the function press the Preset or Stop / Cancel button.
2) As soon as the preset heating time is reached a sound will be emitted and the program will start.
3) The defrost and quick start functions cannot be pre-set.

Cooking in phases

This microwave oven makes it possible to program cooking in phases, when after a selected period of time the microwave power changes. This function is suitable namely for foods requiring a different intensity of heating at the start and at the end of preparation.

1) Press the Power Level button repeatedly to set the required power for the first phase of food preparation.
2) Turn the controller Weight / Time and set the required duration of the first phase of food preparation.
3) To set the values for the second phase repeat steps 1 and 2.
4) Press the Start /Quick Start button.

Note:

The quick start and defrost functions cannot be set. The automatic cooking mode can only be set as the first phase.

The change from the first cooking sequence to the second is indicated by a sound. After the entire period has passed it is indicated by a sound.

Automatic cooking

If this cooking mode is used, it is not necessary to set the cooking time or power level. It is enough to simply select the type of food you wish to cook and its weight. At the halfway point of the heating it will be necessary to turn the food over to achieve even heating.

Example: You want to heat 400 g of fish.

1) Press the Stop / Cancel button.
2) Press the Auto Cook button and select the appropriate food code.
3) Turn the controller Weight / Time and set the weight to 400 g.
4) Press the Start /Quick Start button.

Child safety switch

To prevent the microwave oven from being accidentally turned on by small children it is possible to set a child safety switch function. After the child safety switch has been set it will not be possible to control the oven.

Activate the child safety switch by pressing and holding down the Stop / Cancel button for a period of 3 seconds.

As soon as the child safety switch has been activated a beep will be emitted and the display will show the appropriate symbol. Individual buttons will then not respond to being pressed.

Deactivate the child safety switch by again pressing and holding down the Stop / Cancel button for a period of 3 seconds. The oven will beep and the symbol will turn off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning the main unit always turn it off and disconnect it from the power supply.

1) Before first use wash the glass plate in a weak solution of kitchen detergent and then thoroughly rinse in drinking water.
2) Keep the inside of the oven clean. If the walls of the oven are splattered with food juices then wipe them away using a damp cloth. If the oven is heavily soiled, you can use a weak solution of a neutral cleaning agent. Avoid the use of sprays or abrasive cleaning agents as this could lead to the discolouration or fading of the surface.
3) The outside part of the oven should be cleaned with a damp cloth. To prevent damaging the operating parts of the oven, make sure that water does not enter the ventilation openings.
4) Regularly clean the door and the window of the oven from both sides, the door seal and neighbouring parts and any food remains. For cleaning we recommend the use of a weak kitchen detergent solution. Do not use abrasive cleaning products, petrol or solvents for cleaning.
5) Do not allow the control panel to become wet. Clean it with a fine damp piece of cloth.
6) If the inside of the door and the neighbouring parts become foggy from water evaporated from food, clean it with a fine cloth. This event may occur if the oven is used in a location with increased humidity. This is a normal event.
7) From time to time it is necessary to remove the glass tray and clean it. Clean the tray in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.
8) The rotating ring and the under side of the inside area of the oven should be regularly cleaned to prevent excessive noise. Simply clean out the under side of the inside area of the oven using a weak neutral detergent solution. You may clean the rotating ring in a weak neutral cleaning agent solution or in a dishwasher. After removing the rotating ring from inside the oven for cleaning, put it back into place after it has been cleaned.
9) To remove odours from the oven place a glass (check that it is suitable for use in a microwave oven) of water with juice and peal from one lemon into the microwave oven and allow it to cook in the microwave mode for 5 minutes. Thoroughly wipe out the inside area of the oven until dry with a fine cloth.
10) If it becomes necessary to replace the lighting inside the oven, please contact the seller.
11) Clean the oven regularly according to the above mentioned instructions and remove any food that remains inside it. Failure to keep the oven clean could lead to surface damage, which could adversely affect the lifetime of the appliance and could lead to a dangerous situation.

BEFORE YOU CALL THE REPAIR MAN

If the microwave oven is not working:

1) Ensure that oven is properly connected to the electrical grid. If not, disconnect the power plug from the electric power socket, wait 10 seconds and then reconnect it.
2) Check that a short circuit has not occurred causing the circuit breaker to shut off. If the above mentioned points are in order, check the power socket using a different appliance.
3) Check that you have set the proper values on the control panel.
4) Check that the door is properly closed using the safety door locking system. Otherwise microwaves will not be produced.
