'THE GEAR JUNKIE' ANNOUNCES TOP GEAR OF 2008

Award list Includes new '10 Items Under \$30' category

MINNEAPOLIS, November 22, 2008 – The nationally-syndicated newspaper columnist Stephen Regenold — aka "The Gear Junkie" — has announced The Gear Junkie's Top 10 Gear of the Year Awards for 2008. Additionally, for the first time, Regenold has included a second Top 10 list for products under \$30.

"I pride myself on testing gear to death," Regenold said.

For the first time, the list this year includes a Gear of the Year Under \$30 category. “As a nod to the upcoming gift buying season, I thought readers would be interested in stocking stuffer ideas,” Regenold said.
