Frequently Asked Questions - X-tatic Pro Sharkoon

How do I connect the Sharkoon X-tatic Pro to my PC?
Connect the 3.5 mm jack to the headphone and microphone ports (or use a splitter). For virtual surround sound, connect the USB cable to your PC. Ensure the audio device is selected in your system settings.
Why is my microphone not working?
Check that the microphone is securely plugged in and not muted. Verify that the mute switch on the cable is not activated. Also, ensure the correct input device is selected in your computer's sound settings.
Can I use this headset with PlayStation or Xbox?
Yes, it works with controllers that have a 3.5 mm jack. On Xbox One, you may need an adapter. The USB feature may not be available on consoles.
How do I clean the ear pads?
Remove the ear pads if possible and wipe gently with a damp cloth. Avoid using chemicals. Let them air dry completely before reattaching.
What is the virtual surround sound feature?
The USB virtual surround sound simulates a 7.1-channel audio experience, enhancing directional cues in games. Enable it by installing the driver from Sharkoon's website.
The volume wheel doesn't work properly, what should I do?
Try rotating the wheel several times to clean any debris. If it persists, check your device's audio settings or contact Sharkoon support for a replacement cable.
Are replacement ear pads available?
Yes, Sharkoon offers replacement ear pads. You can purchase them from their official website or authorized retailers.
Can I use the headset without the USB cable?
Yes, the audio works via the 3.5 mm jack alone. The USB is only required for virtual surround sound.
Why do I hear a low hum or static noise?
This could be due to interference from other electronics. Try moving the cable away from other wires or plugging into a different USB port. Also, check your audio source's audio quality.
How do I store the headset when not in use?
Fold the headset flat if possible, and place it in a cool, dry place. Use the included pouch or a dedicated case to protect it from dust and impacts.
