Important Warnings

Before turning on your appliance, and to ensure a safe and correct operation, do not use if:

1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance's. If this is not the case please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep the cord away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous.

To avoid fire hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

• Before cleaning, be sure to switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the main power supply.
  • Always allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.
• A steam cleaner is not to be used.
• Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass as they may scratch the surface, which may result in the glass shattering.

- Read all instructions before using the product.

- Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized professionals.

- Any damage caused by manual modifications to the product is not covered by the warranty.

- If this product is used for other purposes than the ones originally intended, or if it is not correctly connected, the product may become damaged and the warranty will be voided.

- Make sure the voltage in your home corresponds to the voltage indicated on the appliance rating label. Make sure the wall socket is properly grounded.

• To reduce the risk of fire inside the oven:

- Do not overcook food.

- Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing them in the oven.

- Do not heat deep-frying oil or fat as the temperature of the oil cannot be controlled.

- After use, wipe the waveguide cover with a damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth to remove any splashes of food and grease. Built-up grease may overheat and smoke or catch fire.

- If materials inside the oven smoke or ignite, keep the oven door closed, turn off the oven and disconnect the power supply.

- When heating food in plastic or paper containers, keep an eye on the oven as there is a possibility of the containers igniting.

- To reduce the risk of explosion and sudden boiling:

- Liquids and other foods must not be heated in sealed containers as they are liable to explode. Baby bottles fitted with a screw cap or teat are considered to be sealed containers.

- Use wide-mouthed containers to heat liquids, and do not take the heated liquid out immediately. Wait for a few minutes before removing in order to avoid possible hazards caused by the delayed eruptive boiling of the liquid.

- Potatoes, sausages and chestnuts should be peeled or pierced before cooking. Eggs in their shells and whole hard -boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave ovens as they may explode even after microwave heating has ended.

- The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars must be stirred or shaken and the temperature checked before consumption to avoid burns.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified technician, to avoid an electric shock hazard.
• After cooking, containers are very hot. Use gloves to take out the food and avoid steam burns by directing steam away from the face and hands.
• Slowly lift the furthest edge of dish covers and microwave plastic wraps, and carefully open popcorn and oven cooking bags away from the face.
  • To prevent the turntable from breaking:

- Let the turntable cool down before cleaning.

• Do not place hot foods or utensils on the cold turntable.

• Do not place frozen foods or utensils on the hot turntable.

• Make sure the utensils do not touch the interior walls during cooking.

• Only use utensils that are suitable for use in microwave ovens.
• Do not store food or anything else inside the oven.
• Do not operate the oven with no liquid or food inside it. This would damage the oven.
• When the appliance is operated in the combination mode, children should only use it under adult supervision due to the temperatures generated.

• Any accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause physical injuries.

• Do not use outdoors.

• If the door or door seals are damaged or the oven malfunctions, the oven should not be used until it has been repaired by a competent person.
• It is hazardous for anyone other than a competent person to carry out any service or repair operation that involves the removal of a cover which protects from exposure to microwave energy.
• If smoke is released, switch off or unplug the appliance and keep the door closed in order to stifle any flames.
• Microwave heating of beverages can result in delayed eruptive boiling; therefore care must be taken when handling the container.
• The microwave oven lamp is not intended for any other purposes.
• The appliance is not designed to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
• This appliance is intended for household and similar applications, such as:
• Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
• Farm houses;
• By clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments;
• Bed and breakfast type environments.
• The microwave oven is intended for heating food and beverages. Drying of food or clothing and heating of warming pads, slippers, sponges, damp cloths and similar items may lead to injury, ignition or fire.

• The door or the outer surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.
• Accessible parts may become hot during use. Young children should be kept away.
• During use the appliance becomes hot. Care should be taken to avoid touching heating elements inside the oven.
• The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.

2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

2.1. Product Description

1 Door lock

The microwave oven door must be properly closed in order for it to operate.

② Viewing window

Allows the user to monitor cooking progress.

3 Rotating shaft

The glass turntable sits on the shaft; the motor underneath it drives the turntable rotation.

4 Rotating ring

The glass turntable sits on its wheels; it supports the turntable and keeps it balanced when it is turning.

5 Turntable

The food is placed on the turntable; it rotates to cook food evenly.

Caution!: Place the rotating ring first. Fit the turntable onto the rotating shaft and make sure that it is fitted properly.

6 Control panel

See below for details (the control panel is subject to change without prior notice).

⑦ Waveguide cover

It is inside the microwave oven, next to the control panel side.

n!: Never remove the waveguide cover.

2.2. Using the Product Installation

• Remove all the packing. If there is a safety film over the oven, remove it before use. Check carefully for damage. If any is found, immediately notify the dealer or send the appliance to the manufacturer's service center.
• Microwave ovens must be placed in a dry and non-corrosive environment, and kept away from heat and humidity, such as gas burners or water tanks.

• To ensure sufficient ventilation, the distance of the back of the microwave from the wall should be at least 10 cm. The distance from the side to the wall should be at least 5 cm. The clearance above the top surface should be at least 20 cm. The distance of the microwave from the floor should be at least 85 cm.
• The position of the oven must be such that it is far from TVs, radios or antennas as it may cause interference. The distance should be more than 5 m.
• The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible. It must be correctly grounded in the event of leakage. A ground loop can be formed to avoid electric shock.
• The microwave oven must be operated with the door closed.
• The microwave oven must not be placed in a cabinet. The microwave oven is intended to be used freestanding.
• The back of the oven must be placed against a wall.
• As there may be manufacturing residue or oil still inside the oven or on the heating element at first, there will be an odor or even a little smoke. This is normal and will stop after several uses. Keep a door or window open to provide good ventilation. It is strongly recommended to place a cup of water on the turntable, set to high power and operate for several times.

Control panel

1 Timer

• The max cooking time that can be set is 30 minutes.
  – Each setting is in 1 minute steps.
• A bell will be heard when the timer times out and returns to the Zero position.

② Function/Power knob

There are 6 power levels:

High	100% power output (Quick cooking)
Med High	85% power output (Normal cooking)
Med	66% power output (Slow cooking)
Med Low	40% power output (Drinks or soup)
Defrost	37% power output (Defrosting)
Low	17% power output (Warming)

The following table provides a reference defrosting time length for various foods:

Operation

1 Connect the cord:
- Before connecting the cord, make sure the timer is set to the "O" position.
- Do not block the ventilation.
2 Place the food on the glass turntable and close the door:
- Food must be contained in a container.
3 Select the required power level.
4 Set the timer:

If the required time is less than 10 minutes, turn the timer knob past the 10 minutes position and then turn back to the correct time setting.

5 Once the required time is set, cooking begins. If a pause is needed, just open the door at any time, and close it to resume operation.

6 When the timer times out and cooking stops, the microwave oven rings, and the inside lamp will also be automatically turned off. If food is removed before the time is up, make sure to set the timer back to the "0" position, to avoid the microwave oven from operating when empty.

Utensils guidelines

It is strongly recommended to use containers that are suitable and safe for microwave cooking. Generally speaking, containers made from heat-resistant ceramic, glass or plastic are suitable for microwave cooking.

Never use metal containers for microwave cooking and combination cooking as sparks are likely to be produced. Use the table below as a guide.

Cooking tips

The following factors may affect the cooking results.

Food layout

Place thicker areas towards the outside of the dish, thinner parts towards the center and spread evenly. Do not overlap if possible.

Cooking time

Start cooking with a short time setting, assess the cooking when it times out and extend it until the food is cooked. Overcooking may result in smoke and burns.

Cooking food evenly

Foods such as chicken, hamburgers or steaks should be turned once during cooking.

Depending on the type of food, if applicable, stir from outside to the center of the dish once or twice during cooking.

Standing time

After cooking completes, leave the food in the oven for a suitable length of time, this allows it to complete its cooking cycle and cool down gradually.

Checking if the food is cooked

The color and hardness of the food help to determine if it is cooked, these include:

• Steam coming out from all parts of the food, not just the edges;
• Poultry joints can be moved easily;
• Pork or poultry shows no signs of blood;
• Fish is opaque and can be sliced easily with a fork.

Browning dish

When using a browning dish or self-heating container, always place a heat-resistant insulator such as a porcelain plate under it to prevent damage to the turntable and rotating ring.

Microwave-Safe plastic wrap

When cooking food with high fat content, do not allow the plastic wrap to come into contact with the food as it may melt.

Microwave-Safe plastic cookware

Some microwave-safe plastic cookware might not be suitable for cooking foods with high fat and sugar content. Therefore the preheating time indicated on the dish packaging must not be exceeded.

2.3. Maintenance

The oven should be cleaned regularly and any food deposits removed.

• Remove the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other fluids when cleaning.
• Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of the surface that could adversely affect the appliance service life and possibly result in a hazardous situation.
• Never use hard detergents, gasoline, abrasive powders or a metal brush to clean any part of the appliance.
• Do not remove the waveguide cover.
• When the microwave oven has been used for a long time, there may be some odors in the oven, The following 3 methods can get rid of them:
• Place several lemon slices in a cup, then heat at high Micro Power for 2-3 min.

• Place a cup of red tea in the oven, and then heat at high micro power.
• Put some orange peel into the oven, and then heat at high Micro Power for 1 minute.
• Only allow children to use the oven without supervision when adequate instructions have been given so that the child is able to use the oven in a safe way and understands the hazards of improper use.

Exterior

Wipe the enclosure with a damp soft cloth.

Door

Using a damp soft cloth, wipe the door and window clean.

Wipe the door seals and adjacent parts to remove any spills or spatter.

Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp soft cloth.

Interior walls

Wipe the cavity clean using a damp soft cloth.

Wipe the waveguide cover clean to remove any food splashes.

Turntable/rotation ring/rotation axis

Wash with mild soapy water.

Rinse with clean water and allow to dry thoroughly.

Servicing

Please check the following before calling for services.

- Place one cup of water (approx.150 ml) in a glass measure in the oven and close the door securely. The oven lamp should turn off if the door is properly closed. Let the oven run for 1 min.

• Does the oven lamp light?
• Does the cooling fan work?

(Put your hand over the rear ventilation openings.)

- Does the turntable rotate?

(The turntable may rotate clockwise or counter clockwise. This is quite normal.)

• Is the water inside the oven hot?

If “NO” is the answer to any of the above questions, please check your wall socket and the fuse in your meter box.

If both the wall socket and the fuse are functioning properly, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST APPROVED SERVICE CENTER.

Servicing safeguards

• The high voltage capacitor remains charged after disconnection. Short-circuit the negative terminal of the high voltage capacitor to the oven chassis (use a screwdriver) to discharge before touching.
• During servicing the parts listed below may be removed and give access to potentials of above 250 V to the ground:
  -Magnetron;
• High voltage transformer;
• High voltage capacitor;
• High voltage diode;
• High voltage fuse.

• The following conditions may cause undue microwave exposure during servicing:
• Improper fitting of the magnetron;
• Improper matching of the door interlock, door hinge and door;
• Improper fitting of the switch support;
• Door, door seal or enclosure has been damaged.
