Power plug and cord replacement

If the cord is damaged it must, for safety reasons, be replaced by an authorized repairer. For non-rewireable plugs the fuse cover MUST be refitted when replacing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost then the plug must not be used until a replacement can be obtained. The correct fuse cover is identified by colour.

If a non-rewireable plug is cut off it must be DESTROYED IMMEDIATELY. An electric shock hazard may arise if an unwanted non-rewireable plug is inadvertently inserted into a 13 A socket outlet.

Use

  1. Plug the curling tongs into an electrical outlet (with dry hands).
  2. Slide the [ON-OFF] switch forward to turn the heat on. The indicator light will be off in the OFF setting and is lit in the ON setting.
  3. Hold the tongs or fold out the support stand underneath and place them on a heat resistant surface.
  4. Never use the tongs until your hair is completely dry.
  5. Divide your hair in sections and use hair clips to keep it separated. Thick or long hair may need several treatments.
  6. Open the hair clamp and clamp down your hair (take about a 5 cm width of hair at a time). Make sure that your hair is evenly distributed and begin twisting the tongs upwards towards your scalp.
  7. Keep the hair wrapped around the curling tongs for 5–10 seconds depending on your hair type. Carefully open the clamp and remove your hair from the tongs.
  8. Slide the switch to the OFF position until the indicator light turns off to turn it off. Unplug the lead once you are finished.
  9. Let the curling tongs cool completely before putting them away for storage.
