How do I clean the filters?

Rinse both pre-motor (foam and felt) and post-motor filters with cold water only. Do not use soap. Allow all filters to air-dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Tap loose dirt off filters between washes if needed.

What does the brush-roll indicator light mean?

Solid green means the brush-roll is spinning normally. Solid red indicates a jam; turn off and remove blockages. Flashing red means the nozzle is overheating; turn off and let cool for 60 minutes.

How do I empty the dust cup?

Press the dust cup release latch on the handle and lift the cup off. Hold over a bin and press the bottom empty-release latch. For deeper cleaning, press the top empty release latch to access the lint screen.

Can I wash the filters with soap?

No. Only use cold water to rinse the filters. Soap or cleaning chemicals can damage the filters and affect vacuum performance.

Why is my vacuum not picking up debris?

Check if filters need cleaning, dust cup is full, or there are blockages in the hose, nozzle, or wand. Also check for hair or string wrapped around the brush-roll.

How do I use the Lift-Away mode?

Press the Lift-Away button on the pod to detach the pod from the floor nozzle. You can then carry the pod to clean above floors or attach accessories directly.

What accessories are included with this model?

The NV620UKT comes with a crevice tool, upholstery tool, duster crevice tool, multi surface tool, pet power brush, anti-allergen dust brush, and home & car detail kit. Check the inside flap of the box for exact items.

How do I check for blockages?

Unplug the vacuum. Inspect the floor nozzle (unlock with a coin to access brush-roll area), remove wand and check both ends, detach hose from pod, and check pod opening. Also check dust cup and lint screen.

What should I do if the vacuum turns off by itself?

The vacuum has a motor protective thermostat. Turn off and unplug. Empty dust cup, clean filters, check for blockages, and let the unit cool for at least 45 minutes. Then plug in and restart.

How do I register my extended warranty?

25 Unplug from electrical outlet when not in use and before any maintenance or cleaning.
26 Hand wash with water only. Washing with cleaning chemicals could damage the unit.

27 During cleaning or routine maintenance, DO NOT cut anything other than hair, fibres, or string wrapped around the brush-roll.
28 Allow all filters to air-dry completely before replacing in the vacuum to prevent liquid from being drawn into electric parts.
29 Make sure the dust cup and all filters are in place after routine maintenance.
30 If provided, secure the power cord around the two cord hooks during storage.

1. Insert Wand into Floor Nozzle.
2. Insert Handle into wand.
3. Place Pod onto wand and slide down to connect.
4. Connect Hose into back of pod, until it clicks into place.
5. Attach Hose Clip to wand.
   For proper operation, ensure all parts are firmly clicked into place.

Press power button to turn the vacuum on or off. Please note the brush-roll will not spin unless the wand is reclined.

NOTE: Brushbar will continue to spin in all modes

Slide the selector switch to the appropriate surface setting:
Thick Carpet & Area Rug Cleaning: Set Floor Selector to Carpet and slide Suction Control toward Min to reduce suction.
Carpet & Low Pile Cleaning: Set Floor Selector to Carpet and slide Suction Control toward Max to increase suction.
Hard Floor Cleaning: Set Floor Selector to Hard Floor and slide Suction Control toward Max to increase suction.

INDICATOR LIGHT

WHAT DOES THE BRUSH-ROLL INDICATOR LIGHT MEAN?
Solid Green: The brush-roll is spinning and working as it should.
Solid Red: There is a jam in the brush-roll area. Turn your vacuum off and remove any blockages in the nozzle. Flashing Red*: The motorised floor nozzle is overheating. Turn your vacuum off and wait a minimum of 60 minutes for it to cool down.
* See Troubleshooting section for further instructions.

CLEANING MODES

To engage brush-roll, turn on power, then step on the floor nozzle and tilt the handle back.

Lift Away POWERED LIFT-AWAY*

Press the Lift-Away® button to detach the pod from the floor nozzle.

Press the Handle button to detach the handle from the wand.

Pull up on Dust Cup Release Latch on the handle and lift dust cup off pod.

To reinstall, place bottom of dust cup into pod and then till until it clicks into place.

CLEANING AND REPLACING THE FILTERS

CLEANING FILTERS

Regularly rinse the filters to maintain your vacuum's suction power.

To prevent damage from cleaning chemicals, rinse filters with cold water only. Allow all filters to air-dry for at least 24 hours before reinstalling them to prevent liquid from being drawn into electronic parts.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT use soap when cleaning the filters.

With the dust cup removed, take out the foam and felt filters and rinse them with water only. Allow filter to air-dry completely before reinstalling. Tap loose dirt off filters between washes as needed.

Post-Motor:

To access the Post-Motor Filter, pull the latch under the filter cover and take off the cover. Remove the filter and rinse it with water only. Allow filter to air-dry completely before reinstalling.

To keep your vacuum's suction power optimal, follow these instructions. Make sure unit is off and cord unplugged.

1 Use a coin to unlock the 3 locks on the bottom of the floor nozzle.

2 A portion of the base is removable to allow for better access to the brush-roll and exposure to the airway. Shine a torch from the bottom to check for possible blockage in the airway.

3 Remove any string, carpet fibres or hair that may be wrapped around the brush-roll.

4 To reassemble, replace base by lining it up along the front of the nozzle. Push down to snap into place. Lock the 3 locks.

Vacuum is not picking up debris. No suction or light suction.

- Check filters to see if they need cleaning. Follow instructions for rinsing and drying the filters before re-inserting back into the vacuum

• Dust cup may be full; empty dust cup.

- Check hose, hose connections, nozzles, and accessories for blockages; clear blockages if required.

- Remove any string, carpet fibres or hair that may be wrapped around the brush-roll.

Vacuum lifts area rugs.

- Turn off the unit to disengage the brush-roll and restart with the POWER button for suction only cleaning.

- Suction is powerful. Take care when vacuuming area rugs with delicately sewn edges.

- Turn off the unit and disengage the area rug from the brush-roll and restart the unit.

Brush-roll does not spin.

- If the brush-roll indicator light on the floor nozzle turns red, the brush-roll has stopped spinning. Immediately turn off and unplug vacuum, disconnect the nozzle and remove blockage before reconnecting and turning vacuum back on.

- Pull the handle toward you and release the floor nozzle to disengage the auto-off feature.

- Immediately turn off and unplug vacuum, disconnect the nozzle and remove blockage before reconnecting and turning vacuum back on.

Vacuum turns off on its own or brush-roll indicator Light flashes red.

This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason your vacuum overheats, the thermostat will automatically turn the suction motor off. Should this occur, perform the following steps to restart the thermostat:

1. Turn the unit off.

2. Unplug the vacuum.

3. Empty the dust cup and clean filters (see pages 12 and 13)

4. Check for blockages in hose, accessories and in et openings.

5. Allow the unit to cool for a minimum of 45 minutes.

6. Plug in the vacuum.

7. Restart the unit by turning the power on.
