Frequently Asked Questions - PFM2000 Chief

How to assemble the Chief PFM2000 cart?
Attach legs (A and B) to the cross bracket using four 5/16-18x4-1/4" button head cap screws and end caps. Then attach the center post (C or D) using four 5/16-18x2-3/4" screws and washers. Finally, attach the head assembly (G or H) with four 5/16-18x3/4" screws. Refer to the manual for detailed steps and torque.
How to attach a display to the PFM2000?
First, set the brakes on the back wheels. Adjust the height so the display does not rest on the lower part of the center post. Attach a PSBU or MSBU interface bracket to the display. While two people support the display, align the four mounting buttons on the bracket with the four holes on the head assembly. Lower the display until you hear an audible 'click' confirming the buttons are seated.
How to adjust the height of the cart?
Hold the top part of the post, pull out the knob on the center post, and turn it 90° to disengage the locking mechanism. Raise or lower the post to the desired height (available in 2" increments from 37-5/8" to 49-5/8"), then turn the knob back 90° to lock it in place. Ensure the knob engages fully in a hole.
How to tilt the display?
Loosen the tilt knob on the back of the head assembly by turning counterclockwise. Tilt the display forward or backward up to 45°. Tighten the knob clockwise to secure. For a midway tilt (30°), it is recommended to insert a bolt (not provided) through the head assembly to lock the position.
What is the maximum weight capacity of the PFM2000?
The maximum weight capacity is 200 lbs (90.72 kg). This includes the combined weight of all components on the cart. Exceeding this limit may cause serious injury or damage.
How to manage cables on the cart?
For the PFM2000, signal cables and power cords can be routed through the top of the center post and exit out the back. Accessory power cords can go through the front and down the post. Use the provided snap-on covers to close any unused openings.
How to lock the wheels?
The back wheels have brakes. Press down on the tab on each wheel to engage the brake and lock the cart in place. Always lock the wheels when the cart is stationary.
How to remove the display from the cart?
Remove any bolt or padlock from the faceplate. Pull back the flag on the upper mounting hole and press the pin down to the 'Open' position. With two people, carefully lift the display off the cart. Return the pin to the 'Closed' position after removal.
What tools are required for assembly?
The cart comes with a 3/16" hex key. Additionally, a power drill may be used with the provided hex head drill bit for final tightening, but screws must first be inserted by hand to avoid damaging the threads.
Can the PFM2000 cart be used outdoors?
The cart is designed for indoor use on level surfaces. It should not be used on uneven ground or exposed to weather. Always ensure the structure can support five times the combined weight of all equipment.
