First use

Checking the window cleaner and product contents

NOTICE!

Risk of damage!

If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointy object, you may quickly damage the window cleaner.

- Be very careful when opening.

  1. Take the window cleaner out of the packaging.
  2. Check whether the delivery is complete (see fig. A and B).
  3. Check whether the window cleaner or the individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the window cleaner. Contact the manufacturer at the service address specified on the warranty card.

Assembling the window cleaner

  1. Hold down the lock/unlock button for the squeegee 2.
  2. Attach the squeegee 1 to the window cleaner.
  3. Release the lock/unlock button for the squeegee.

Charging the rechargeable battery

NOTICE!

Risk of damage!

Improperly charging the rechargeable battery may damage the rechargeable battery.

- Do not charge the rechargeable battery at temperatures below +5 °C or above +40 °C. Otherwise, you could damage the rechargeable battery.

Before first use, the rechargeable battery must be charged for 5 hours. The housing of the window cleaner may become warm during the charging process.

When the rechargeable battery is almost empty, the motor will switch itself off and the battery status light will blink for approx. 60 seconds. The rechargeable battery will then need to be recharged.

  1. Connect the charger 14 to the charging socket 8.
  2. Connect the charger to a properly installed socket.

During the charging process the battery status light 7 will glow red.

If the battery status light glows green, the rechargeable battery is fully charged and the window cleaner is ready for use.

Operation

Cleaning surfaces

Easy Home GT-FS-02uk - Cleaning surfaces - 1

CAUTION!

Risk of injury!

Improper use of the sprayer may cause injuries.

- Do not point the spray jet directly into the eyes.

Before cleaning using the window cleaner, you must clean the relevant surfaces using water. The sprayer with the detachable wiper attachment is suitable for this.

  1. Fit the attachment ring 11 to the threading on the water bottle 12 (see fig. B).

When doing so, pay attention to the notches on the threading.

The notches in the attachment ring must point to the sides.

The attachment ring must engage audibly.

  1. Fill the water bottle with clear tap water. If required, add a product which is suitable for window cleaning to it.
  2. Insert the hose of the spray pistol 10 into the water bottle and screw the spray pistol onto the water bottle.
  3. Set the nozzle 15 to STREAM or SPRAY.

The nozzle is closed when it is set to the OFF position.

  1. Attach the wiper attachment 9 to the spray pistol.
  2. Pull a microfibre cover 13 over the mounting bracket of the wiper attachment and secure it using the hook-and-loop fastener.
  3. Spray the surface to be cleaned.
  4. To clean the surface which has been sprayed, wipe it using the microfibre cover.
  5. Repeat this process for heavily soiled surfaces.

Easy Home GT-FS-02uk - Risk of injury! - 1

For very heavy soiling, you should rinse out or change the microfibre cover in between uses.

Vacuuming surfaces

  1. Push the on/off switch 6.

The battery status light 7 will glow red.

  1. Move the blade of the squeegee 1 slowly over the wet surface.

The liquid is vacuumed up and suctioned into the dirty water tank 4 in the process.

Easy Home GT-FS-02uk - Vacuuming surfaces - 1

  • Hold the window cleaner parallel to the surface on which the squeegee is to be used. Only then is the blade at the correct angle.
  • Always switch the window cleaner off between the different steps when working. This will mean the charge of the rechargeable battery will last longer.
  • Take note of how full the dirty water tank is and empty it when the maximum fill level is reached.

  • Reposition the blade at the top once you have dried a length of the surface.

  • Once the surface is dry, switch the window cleaner off, by pressing on the on/off switch once again.
The battery status light will extinguish.
  • Remove any streaks or residual moisture with a dry cloth.

Emptying the dirty water tank

The window cleaner must be switched off.

  1. Remove the rubber closure 3 on the dirty water tank 4.
  2. Pour the dirty water out and then reattach the dirty water tank using the rubber closure.

Cleaning

NOTICE!

Risk of short circuit!

Water that has penetrated the housing may cause a short circuit.

  • Never immerse the window cleaner in water.
  • Make sure that no water penetrates the housing.

NOTICE!

Risk of damage!

Improper handling of the window cleaner may result in damage.

  • Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers or the like. They could damage the surfaces.
  • Never place the window cleaner in the dishwasher. It would be destroyed as a result.

Cleaning the sprayer

  1. Remove the wiper attachment 9 by pulling it slightly forwards and upwards.
  2. Unscrew the spray pistol 10 from the water bottle 12 and remove the dirty water.
  3. Remove the microfibre cover 13.
  4. Wipe all parts with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a mild cleaning agent.
  5. Then wipe all parts dry with a soft cloth.

Washing the microfibre cover

  • Wash the microfibre cover 13 in the washing machine at a temperature of 60^ .
  • Do not use a fabric softener as this will severely compromise the cleaning power and suction capacity of the microfibres.

The microfibre cover must not be wrung out, bleached, dried in a drying machine or ironed.

Cleaning the window cleaner

In order to clean the window cleaner thoroughly, it must be taken apart.

  1. Ensure that the window cleaner is not attached to the charger 14.
  2. Let the window cleaner cool off completely.
  3. Press the lock/unlock button for the squeegee 2 and detach the squeegee 1 from the window cleaner by pulling it.
  4. Clean the squeegee with a soft, slightly dampened cloth. Press the lock/unlock button for the dirty water tank 5 and take the dirty water tank 4 out of the window cleaner.
  5. Rinse the dirty water tank with clean tap water and then wipe it dry.
  6. Clean the housing from the outside with a soft, slightly dampened cloth. If necessary, use a mild cleaning agent.
  7. Then wipe all parts dry with a soft cloth.

Storage

All parts must be completely dry before being stored.

  • Always store the window cleaner in an upright position, in a dry, frost-free place.
  • Store the squeegee in such a way that no load is placed on the blade and no pressure marks form.
  • Protect the window cleaner from direct sunlight.
  • Ensure that the window cleaner is stored out of reach of children and closed securely.
