Frequently Asked Questions - Flowline 750N Flycam

How do I assemble the Flycam Flowline 750N?
Open the bag, take out the device, then join the support arm section with the section on the support jacket using a simple push-fit technique. Loosen the four adjustment knobs on the back of the jacket to adjust the height, wear the jacket and tighten the waist and chest buckles, then adjust the side support arms. Finally attach the camera hook and safety belt.
What is the maximum weight capacity?
The maximum load capacity is 12 kg (26.4 lb) as specified for the Flowline 500N model; the Flowline 750N likely supports similar or higher loads. Always refer to the manual for your specific model.
How do I attach the camera to the support?
Loosen the knob on the camera hook, attach the camera, then tighten the knob to ensure a slip-free connection. Leave a gap of approximately 2 cm (1 inch) between the top of the camera hook and the support arm. Always use the safety belt by attaching one end to the camera and the other to the support jacket.
How do I adjust the height of the support arm?
Slightly loosen all four adjustment knobs provided on the back of the support jacket. Adjust the support arm to the desired height, then tighten the knobs. Ensure the support arm is vertical to distribute weight evenly on your hips.
How should I store the Flycam Flowline when not in use?
When folding, put the upper part of the support arm inside the hip/waist belt and fasten the buckle to prevent the suspension line from wearing. For prolonged storage (more than a couple of months), store the device standing upwards to prevent the shock absorber gasket from drying out.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Always hold the camera when working with the device. Never undo the waist buckle when the camera is attached. Ensure the support arm is vertical. Tighten the hip/waist belt so the rig doesn't slide. Use the safety belt when working under special conditions (car, boat, etc.).
What is covered under the warranty?
The warranty covers defects in materials or craftsmanship during normal use based on the user manual. It does not cover damage from mishandling, accident, misuse, neglect, or service by unauthorized persons. We will repair or replace the product free of charge, but the customer covers return shipping and any import duties. The warranty period is one year from date of purchase.
Can I get replacement parts after the warranty expires?
Yes, replacement parts are provided at nominal cost (covering the cost price of the parts only) after the warranty period has expired. You will also need to pay actual shipping costs.
How do I clean the Flycam Flowline?
Use a damp cloth to clean the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Ensure it is dry before storing.
Is the device suitable for long shooting sessions?
Yes, the Flycam Flowline is designed to reduce static load on neck and shoulder muscles, distributing it to your torso. It allows comfortable 24x7 shooting. Adjust the jacket and support arm properly for best comfort.

Safety Hints

  • Always hold the camera when working with Flycam Flowline. There is safety belt which you attach to camera and hook on the jacket.
  • Never undo the waist buckle when camera is attached to Flycam Flowline! The weight of camera will pull the top of Flycam Flowline down, and you might lose control of camera.
  • It is important that Support Arm is vertical. The weight of camera should primarily be on your hips. If it is lopsided, the load will be unevenly distributed on hips and camera might hit the Arm.
  • The hip/waist belt should be tightened so that the rig doesn't slide down around the hips. Shoulder Strap is mainly for balancing the Flowline, and prevent it from tilting.

  • If the shoulder arm is too high or too low, first try adjusting the Support Arm in relation to Support Jacket or hip/waist belt. It is also possible to adjust the tube inside Support Arm, but that might require adjusting the tightness of Suspension Line.

  • If you work with the Flycam Flowline under special conditions, i.e. in a car, boat, plane or helicopter, make sure to use Safety Belt.
  • If you don't use your Flycam Flowline for more than a couple of months, make sure to store it standing upwards. Otherwise the shock absorber gasket might dry out.

Friendly Tips

  • It is as simple to put the Flowline on as a backpack. Just don't forget to adjust it so it feels comfortable.
  • When attaching the hook onto camera, you might find it easier to put the camera on a table or bench. Try and find right balance before you secure the hook.
  • Try to keep the camera as close to your body as possible, to avoid unnecessary strain on your back.
  • When filming upwards, you might find it easier if you have the camera tucked under your arm.
  • When shooting at hip or knee level, lean backwards when pushing the camera forward; thus minimizing the load on your back. You can attach LCD screen, to get better control of the shot.
  • When shooting at hip level during longer periods of time, rest the camera on hip/waist belt to increase stability.
