Introduction Congratulations on your purchase. With Nokia Bluetooth Speakers MD-SW you can listen to music from your compatible phone or music device and enjoy the high- quality audio. You can also use the speakers as a speakerphone thanks to the integrated microphone. You can connect the speakers to à compatible device using Bluetooth wireless technology or the supplied cable. Read this user guide carefully before using the speakers. Keep all accessories and enhancements out of the reach of small children. Bluetooth wireless technology Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to connect compatible devices without cables. À Bluetooth connection does not require that the speakers and the other device be in line of sight, but both devices should be within 10 meters (30 feet) of each other. Connections may be subject to interference from obstructions, such as wall, or other electronic devices. ‘The speakers comply with the Bluetooth Specification 1.2 that supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) 1.0, Headset Profile 1.1, Hands-Free Profile 1.0, and Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) 1.0. During long periods where the speakers are not used, remove the batteries to prevent damage from battery leakage. Connect to wall outlet To use the speakers with the charger, connect the charger to a wall outlet, and plug the charger cable to the power connector. rechargeable batteries are placed in the battery compartment, they are not charged by the charger. Switch the speakers on or off To switch on, press and hold the power key until the blue indicator light is displayed. To switch off, press and hold the power key until the red indicator light is displayed. Connect the speakers You can connect the speakers to à compatible device (such as à mobile phone or music player) using Bluetooth wireless technology or the supplied cable. Pair and connect using Bluetooth. wireless technology The following instructions apply for 2 mobile phone but the procedure is the same for a music player, except that you may not need to give the Bluetooth passcode.

Ensure that the speakers are off and that the phone is on. Press and hold the power key until the blue and red indicator lights start to alternate. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set it to search for Bluetooth devices. Select the speakers from the list of found devices. Enter the Bluetooth passcode 0000 to pair and connect the speakers to the phone. In some phones you may need to make the connection separately after pairing. Basic use If the pairing is successful, the blue indicator light flashes five times, and the speakers appear in the phone menu where you can vieu the paired Bluetooth devices. Connect using a cable You can connect the speakers to à compatible device with the supplied CA-63U cable. To connect the speakers to a device that has a 3.5-mm audio connector, plug the cable into the audio input on the speakers and the audio connector on the device. Adjust the volume To set the volume of the speakers, press either volume key. the sound level of the speakers becomes too low when using

player such as a mobile phone with a music player feature or other music player device. To use the music functions, connect the compatible device to the speakers using Bluetooth wireless technology. The compatible music player should support the A2DP Bluetooth profile. I you use a cable connection, you can only adjust the volume of the speakers; to control music, use the keys on your music player. you answer or make a call while listening to music, playing is paused until the call ends.

Call handling The speakers can be used for call handling if connected to à compatible phone using Bluetooth wireless technology. To make a call, use your phone in the normal way when the speakers are connected to your phone. Speak toward the microphone on the speakers. If your phone supports last number redialing with the speakers, press. the answer/end key twice when no callis in progress.

To answer or end a call, press the answerend key. If you do not want to answer the call, press and hold either volume key. To switch an ongoing call from the speakers to a compatible phone, press and hold either volume key To switch the call back to the speakers, press the power key. Care and maintenance Clear settings or reset To clearthe settings, switch off the speakers. Press and hold the volume down and power keys until the purple indicator light is displayed. Press and hold the volume down key until the blue indicator light is displayed. To reset the speakers if they do not work, remove the batteries and unplug the speakers from the charger.
