How to turn on the TU300 tuner?

Plug a jack into the IN input of your instrument. The tuner turns on automatically. For extended shutdown, unplug the jack to save the battery.

How to tune my guitar in chromatic mode?

Press the pedal to activate the tuner. Use the MODE button to select chromatic mode. Play an open string, the display shows the note (sharps are represented by the decimal point). Adjust the string tension until the center LED lights up.

What do the LEDs on the tuner mean?

The LED chain indicates the deviation from the reference note. The yellow arrow LEDs pointing left (too low) or right (too high) light up individually. When the note is in tune, both arrows light up simultaneously.

How to replace the battery of the TU300?

Press the hinge pins of the pedal cover with a ballpoint pen, then carefully remove the cover. Replace the battery with a 9 V type 6LR61 battery, respecting polarity. Close the cover.

Can I use the tuner with a bass?

Yes, the tuner offers a dedicated bass mode. Select it with the MODE button. The display shows the string number corresponding to standard bass tuning.

Is the BYPASS output always active?

Yes, the BYPASS output permanently delivers the direct signal of your instrument, regardless of the pedal position. It is ideal for keeping an unprocessed sound to an amp or recorder.

Why is my amp sound cut off when I tune?

When you activate the tuner by pressing the pedal, the OUT output is muted (cut) to allow silent tuning. The signal is present on the BYPASS output if needed.

How to know if the battery is low?

The ON/BATT LED located on the top of the front panel lights up when the tuner is active. If it turns off or flashes, the battery is low and should be replaced quickly.

What accessories are compatible with the TU300?

The tuner works with a 9 V 6LR61 battery or a 9 V DC, 100 mA, center negative power adapter (ref. Behringer PSU-SB). Use good quality 6.35 mm TS jack cables.

Where to find the serial number of the TU300?

The serial number is engraved on the base of the pedal. It will be requested for warranty claims or technical support.

Thank you for showing your confidence in us by purchasing the Behringer CHROMATIC TUNER TU300. This compact guitar and bass tuner provides 7 different tuning modes. Thanks to its 7-segment LED display and 11-point LED indicators, it provides great visibility, especially in dark environments.

1. Controls

The ON/BATT LED illuminates when the tuner is activated. It also serves as a battery level indicator.
2 This LED meter indicates to what degree the instrument's tone deviates from the reference tone.
3 These yellow arrow LEDs light up when the played note is below or above pitch. Both LEDs will light up when the tone's pitch is correct.
4 The 7-segment LED display indicates the string number (high E string: "1", B string: "2" etc.) of the strummed string of your instrument, if the TU300 is operated in one of the guitar or bass modes. In chromatic mode it displays the note name. Semitones are shown by the decimal point LED ("#") in the display.
5 Press the STREAM/CENT button to switch between the LED display modes.
6 Press the MODE button to select the tuning mode.
⑦ Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the tuner.
8 Connect your guitar or bass to the 14 " TS IN connector.
9 Connect your amp or another stompbox to the 14 " TS OUT connector. When the tuner is activated (footswitch pressed) the output is muted. This way, you can silently tune your guitar or bass.
The 14 " TS BYPASS connector always sends a signal to your amp independently of the footswitch position.

Use the DC IN connection at the right side of the unit to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).

The TU300 is powered as soon as you insert a plug into the INPUT. The battery is "disconnected" when the plug is removed. For this reason, the TU300 has no on/off switch. To extend battery life, always disconnect the input when the unit is not in use.

The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the bottom.
