Intended use:

This appliance is intended for use as Heated Electric Blanket. Use it for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in this instruction manual. The appliance is designed for private use. The appliance is not suited for commercial use, medical clinic use, people fitted with pacemakers or pets.

Do not operate any appliance if:

• Power cable is damaged.

- After unpacking, ensure that the item is intact with no visible signs of damage that could be caused during delivery. If damaged contact our customer services number shown on page 2.

- In case of malfunction or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

- Should the cable be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician.

Unplug the appliance:

Never tuck in or fold any of the wired areas or the control unit.

BEFORE FIRST USE:

  • Remove all packaging parts before initial operation and save for future storage.
  • When the item is used for the first time like any new item it may let off a slight odour but this will disappear after a short while.

Positioning the Blanket:

  1. Position the electric blanket evenly over the mattress, ensuring it is lying flat without any rucks or creases.
  2. The electric blanket should be positioned so that the connectors and controllers are positioned to the top of the mattress where the pillows will be located.

  1. Tuck the blanket skirt into the bottom of the mattress. The blanket skirt is specially designed to fit all modern mattresses.
  2. Do not tuck in any of the wired areas of the controller or the controller, make sure they are not in contact with any sharp surfaces, they are easy accessible and not a trip hazard.
  3. Once fitted correctly, additional bed sheets and quilts should be placed over the electric blanket.

Double, King and Superking are fitted with two controls to allow each user to set the temperature to their own individual requirements.

OPERATION:

With the electric blanket you can gently warm and relax your whole body. The heating blanket features a unique temperature control that regulates precisely the warmth-supply according to the chosen heat setting for either the body or feet or whole body and feet. The easy-care material and the detachable operating control or controls make the blanket machine washable up to 30^ C.

Temperature:

Plug the product into a mains power socket, push the slide control to “ON” position, select the desired heat setting 1-9 for “Feet”, 1-9 for “Body” or both 1-9 for “Body” and “Feet” (whole body). A picture of a person will display for which setting you have chosen for ease of use. For body and feet you can set a different temperature, example set the “Body” to 7 and set “Feet” to 3. Use heat settings 6-9 to pre-heat the electric blanket 10-15 minutes before going to bed and then choose a lower temperature. To switch off either the “Body” or “Feet” function press the relevant button to show zero on the display. The display will switch off after around 10 seconds when not in use as an energy saving function, but the blanket will continue to operate to chosen settings, simply press any button to show chosen settings at any time, to switch the blanket off completely simply push the slide control to “OFF” position. The heating blanket is designed so the temperature setting levels 1, 2 or 3 are suitable for continuous use. Temperatures may vary depending on room temperature and type or amount of bed linen used.

Timer:

The controller of the electric blanket has a timer button with setting 1-9 hours and "H" for 12 hours. Press the "Timer" button to control how long you want the blanket to be left on. It is recommended if you intend to use the blanket for up to 9 hours or "H" for 12 hours to have the heat setting on 1,2 or 3.

Overheat Protection:

All electric blankets are fitted with our overheat safeguard system. This offers protections against overheating or damage to the element by disengaging the power to the heating element before any overheat hazards occur.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

NEVER DRY CLEAN.

Before washing the electric blanket, unplug it from the mains power socket and let it completely cool down. Unplug the control units from the electric blanket. The electric blanket may be washed by machine according to the instructions on the label at 30 degrees Celsius. Always ensure the controls are detached from the blanket before washing and NEVER immerse the control units in water.

To best dry the electric blanket, hang on a clothes line to dry naturally without using securing pegs, never dry in a dryer and never iron. When the electric blanket is completely dry, it should be reconnected to the control switch unit in the correct manner. The electric blanket must only be operated with the control unit provided. When storing the heating blanket, allow it to cool down before folding. Store the heating blanket in a clean and dry place. When storing, do not place any objects on the electric blanket to prevent buckling and damage to the internal wiring. Never use any moth proofing chemicals or products.
