③ Install and Charge the Battery
Your battery will not be installed or charged when you first unpack your device.
Remove the back cover by gently pressing it and sliding it off, and insert the battery. Slide the cover back on.
To charge, connect one end of the data cable to the charger port at the bottom of the device ^2 and the other end to a USB power adaptor. Then connect the USB adapter to a power outlet. You can also connect the USB cable to a computer. Charge the device for 12 hours. When charging, the red light blinks. When full, the red light is steady on as long as it is Connected.
4 Turn on your device for the first time
Place your device outside in view of the sky and wait at least 15 minutes. This first-time wait is needed for the device for initial GPS positioning. Press the red button ① for at least 3 seconds.
The green light ⑦ on the front of the device should flash for 3 seconds. Now you are ready to activate your device. Open the Internet Browser on your computer, go to trackimo.com and click "Activate" and follow the instructions. Welcome to Trackimo!

What's in the box?

You will also find 4 blue plastic clips that you can use for attaching the cable ends to different cables or power connection points or to the fuse box.
General instructions
The extended vehicle charging kit is used for installing the Trackimo permanently in your vehicle (after initial charging and activation), so it charges itself directly from the car's power supply and does not need to be taken out and charged manually. This accessory converts the voltage from the vehicle battery's voltage (typically 12V to 24V) into the micro USB output voltage (5V). You can connect the charger practically anywhere in the vehicle where you can reach the positive/negative circuits, and then connect the micro USB endpoint to the Trackimo device.
The long cables (over 1 meter each) enable you to comfortably stash the Trackimo in various places in the vehicle. You only need to make sure it is not completely encased in metal (so don't install it under the hood in the Engine compartment...) because it needs to be able to receive GPS signals and to transmit the tracking data to the cellular network.
Below are a couple of suggestions for connecting the charger to the car electricity.

Battery warnings
If these guidelines are not followed, the battery may experience a shortened life span or may present a risk of damage to the Trackimo device, fire, chemical burn, electrolyte leak and/or injury.
- Do not use sharp object to remove the battery.
- Do not puncture or incinerate the device or battery.
- Do not leave the device exposed to a heat source or in high temperature location, such as in the sun in an unattended vehicle. To prevent damage, store the device out of direct sunlight or remove the device form the vehicle.
• Do not disassemble, puncture, or damage the battery. - Contact your local waste disposal department to dispose of the device/battery in accordance with applicable locia laws and regulation.
• Do not immerse or expose the device to water or other liquids, fire, explosion, or other hazard. - When storing the device for an extended time, store within the following environmental conditions, temapeture range: 320 - 770F (0o - 250C)
- Do not operate the device outside of the following environmental conditions, temaperture range: -4o - 131oF (-20o - 55oC)
- If using an AC charger or an external battery charger, only use the accessory approved for your product.

FCC Compliance
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for the FCC, Part 15 Subpart C rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference.
This product does not contain any user-servicable parts. Repairs should only be made by an authorised Trackimo service center. Unauthorised repairs or modifications could result in permanent damage to the equipment, and void your warranty and your authority to operate this device under Part 15 regulations.

Pacemakers and Other Medical Devices
Radiofrequency energy (RF) can interact with some electronic devices. The FDA and Pacemakers Industry recommends the following precaution guidelines to minimize the risk of interference with pacemakers operation:
- Keep the device at the opposite side of the body where the pacemaker is implanted to add some extra distance between the pacemaker and the device. Try to maintain a distance of at least 6 inches (15cm) between the pacemaker and the device.
- Avoid placing a turned-on device next to the pacemaker implant (e.g. don't carry the device in a shirt or jacket pocket directly over the pacemaker).
- If you think that interference may be occurring, turn off the device immediately. For other medical devices, consult with your physician or Medical Device manufacturer to determine if you Trackimo device may interfere with the medical device and to determine any precautions that you can take to avoid interference.
RF exposure
This device includes a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves (radio frequency electromagnetic fields) recommended by international guidelines and as referenced in FCC Part 1.1310. The guidelines are based on IEEE ANSI C 95.1 (92) and were developed by an independent scientific organization (ICNIRP) and include a substantial safety margin designed to ensure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.
As such the Device is designed to send and receive low level of Radio frequency (RF) energy for data communications. The device has been tested and found compliant with the applicable regulations as part of the radio certification process.

Trackimo shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, compensatory or consequential damages or third-party claims resulting from the use of this data, even if Trackimo has been advised of the possibility of such potential loss or damage. Limited Warranty
The Trackimo Device, the Trackimo Battery Cradle, and any other hardware accessories, excluding external batteries and SIM cards, which are provided to YOU concurrently and in conjunction with the Trackimo Device specifically for use with YOUR particular model of Trackimo Device (which together comprise the Trackimo Hardware), will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period that is the shorter of (i) one (1) year from the date that the new Trackimo Device was first purchased by YOU as an original end-user ("YOU") and (ii) the period ending upon YOUR breach of the Trackimo End-User/Software License Agreement (the "License Agreement") entered into between YOU and Trackimo LLC and/OR its affiliated group of companies' in connection with the Trackimo Solution (the "Warranty Period"). This Limited Warranty is not transferable. During the Warranty Period, the Trackimo Hardware, or one or more of the Trackimo Hardware components, will be repaired or replaced at Trackimo's option, without charge to YOU for either parts or labor. If the Trackimo Hardware (or component thereof) is repaired or replaced during the Warranty Period, the Warranty Period will expire, upon the later of the 90^th day after repair or replacement or one year from the date of original purchase. Based on an agreement between Trackimo and Trackimo Solution Provider (defined below), this Limited Warranty for the Warranty Period shall be honored by either Trackimo or the Trackimo Solution Provider. This Limited Warranty does not apply to (i) cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks and dents; (ii) consumable parts, such as batteries' unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (iii) damage caused by accident abuse, misuse, moisture or liquids, proximity or exposure to heat, flood, fire , or other acts of nature or external causes; (iv) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of Trackimo; or, (v) damage to a product that has been modified or altered without the written permission of Trackimo. In addition, Trackimo reserves the right to refuse warranty claims against products or services that are obtained and/or used with accessories, products, services or ancillary or peripheral equipment not expressly approved or provided by Trackimo or used in contravention of the laws of any country. Additionally, if malfunction results from the failure of the user to abide by the Safety Information contained in the package with the Trackimo Solution comprised of the Trackimo Hardware, the Trackimo Web Application Software, and the associated wireless data service and documentation (the "Trackimo Solution"), the Limited Warranty may be void, and if it is not void, it shall not apply. We cannot guarantee or warrant that YOUR wireless data service will always be available or will always function properly. For this and other reasons, the Trackimo Solution should not be relied upon for the transmission of data relating to emergency or mission critical situations, and Trackimo disclaims any liability on its behalf, on behalf of the Trackimo Solution provider, and on behalf of the third party provider of YOUR airtime service for events or damages resulting from such reliance or the failure of the wireless data service to perform or to be available for YOUR use of the Trackimo Solution, including, without limitation, the lack of service coverage in the area in which YOU wish to use the Trackimo Solution. Trackimo will not be responsible for any warranties or guarantees provided by the Trackimo Solution Provider or any other party.

THIS LIMITATION IS INTENDED TO APPLY AND DOES APPLY WITHOUT REGARD TO WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES ARE CLAIMED, ASSERTED OR BROUGHT IN AN ACTION OR CLAIM SOUNDING IN TORT OR CONTRACT, OR UNDER WARRANTY, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LAW OR FORM OF ACTION. ANY EXTERNAL BATTERIES PROVIDED WITH THE TRACKIMO HARDWARE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" OR ARE SUBJECT
TO THE LIMITED WARRANTY SPECIFICALLY APPLICABLE TO SUCH BATTERIES, IF ANY, AND ANY SIM CARDS PROVIDED WITH THE TRACKIMO HARDWARE ARE PROVIDED AS IS, AND NEITHER EXTERNAL BATTERIES NOR SIM CARDS ARE, FOR PURPOSES OF THIS WARRANTY, PART OF THE TRACKIMO HARDWARE. YOU ASSUME THE RISK OF USING ANY ACCESSORY NOT PROVIDED AS PART OF THE TRACKIMO SOLUTION. IN NO EVENT SHALL TRACKIMO'S LIABILITY TO YOU OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY CLAIMING THROUGH YOU OR ON YOUR BEHALF EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE TRACKIMO HARDWARE YOU PURCHASED OR THE COST OF REPAIRING OR REPLACING THE TRACKIMO HARDWARE, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THE LIMITED WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THE TRACKIMO WEB APPLICATION SOFTWARE, ALL DOCUMENTATION AND ANY FIRMWARE RESIDING ON THE TRACKIMO HARDWARE IS SET FORTH IN THE LICENSE AGREEMENT.
YOU agree and acknowledge that Trackimo's exclusions and limitations of liability are reasonable in the circumstances and that the price of the Trackimo Hardware would be increased if such exclusions and limitations were not enforceable.
This Limited Warranty gives YOU specific legal rights, and YOU may also have other rights that vary depending on the applicable state, province or country. Some states, provinces or countries may not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, may not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty or condition lasts, or allow provisions that permit the warranty to be voided. Thus, some of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to YOU. Waiver by Trackimo of any default will not be deemed a continuing waiver of such default or a waiver of any other default. This Limited Warranty is to be construed under the laws of the State of New York, excluding any body of law governing conflicts of law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is hereby excluded in its entirety from application to this Limited Warranty. Any disagreement or dispute arising out of or relating to this Limited Warranty shall be settled by final and binding arbitration to be conducted in New York
If there is any inconsistency between this Limited Warranty and any warranty included in the packaging of the Trackimo Hardware, the provisions of this Limited Warranty shall apply to the extent of such inconsistency
To obtain warranty service, contact your point of purchase or contact Trackimo's Customer Support (www.Trackimo.com) for shipping instructions and an RMA tracking number. Securely pack the device and a copy of the original sale receipt, which is required as the proof of purchase for warranty repairs. Write the tracking number clearly on the outside of the package. Send the device, freight charges prepaid to the service center address you will be provided by Trackimo's Support team.
