How do I connect my smartphone via Bluetooth?

Press the Source button repeatedly until Bluetooth appears on the display. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and select BOSS PHANTOM 900 from the list. If prompted, enter 0000 as the PIN.

What should I do if the CD does not play?

Ensure the disc is inserted with the label side up. If the disc is scratched or dirty, clean it with a soft, lint-free cloth from the center outward. Also check if the disc format is supported (CD, CD-R, CD-RW).

Can I use the system without speakers?

No, the system requires the supplied speakers to operate. Do not connect other speakers with different impedance as it may damage the amplifier.

How do I set the clock?

Press and hold the Clock button until the hour flashes. Use the + and - buttons to set the hour, then press Clock again to set the minute. Repeat to confirm.

What is the maximum USB drive capacity supported?

The USB port supports drives up to 32 GB formatted in FAT32. Larger drives may not be recognized.

How do I improve FM radio reception?

Extend the FM antenna fully and adjust its position for best reception. If reception is poor, try moving the system away from other electronic devices or metal objects.

Why is there no sound from the speakers?

Check that the volume is not set to minimum (0) and that the system is not muted. Ensure the speaker wires are securely connected to the correct terminals. Also verify the correct source is selected.

Can I play music from my TV?

Yes, if your TV has an audio output (e.g., headphone jack or RCA out), you can connect it to the AUX input on the system using a suitable cable.

How do I factory reset the system?

With the system in standby mode, press and hold the Source button for 5 seconds until RESET appears on the display. Release the button. All settings will be restored to defaults.

What type of batteries does the remote control use?

The remote requires two AAA batteries (not included). Insert them with correct polarity (+/-).

Installation / Mounting

1. Adjust the direction of the speaker and screw the bracket to the bottom of the speaker.
2. Select the rubber inserts that fit your mounting bar and place them into the brackets.
3. Find a safe, ideal mounting location and fit the brackets over the chosen bars.
4. Fasten the mounting screws after you review the safety of the mounting location.

Reminder

• The components and wiring should not be installed around any moving parts, keep away from ignition parts, fuel lines, or any hot exhaust components.
• Speakers should not be installed where they might inhibit safety features on the vehicle (i.e. lights, horns, brake levers, etc.).

Wiring

1. Be sure to run the wiring securely and far away from any moving components.
2. Connect the power cable to the power source. You will need to connect the 12V red wire to a fused 5A (not included) switched power source.
3. Use the 3.5mm stereo jack to connect to your source of music (MP3 player, mobile device, etc.).
4. Use your player device and wired remote volume controller to control the volume.

1. Go into the Settings Menu of your mobile device.
2. Enter the Bluetooth menu.
3. Search for and select "Boss Audio Phantom" from the available devices.
4. If prompted, enter passcode "0000".

WARRANTY

This product has a manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser for a period of one year from the date-of-purchase (DOP). This manufacturer warranty is non-transferable. The warranty is for repair or replacement at the sole discretion of BOSS AUDIO SYSTEMS (BAS). For service under this warranty you need to return the product to BAS. If replaced, BAS reserves the right to replace it with a new or reconditioned product of the same or similar design.

Your product may qualify for a free extended warranty. Please see www.bossaudio.com for the qualifications and details of this program.

Obtain Warranty Service

Within the first 30 days from the original DOP, BAS will provide a return shipping label for any defective product shipped from within the 50 US States. After the first 30 days you are responsible for the freight charges incurred to send the product back to BAS. To send a product in for warranty service you will need the following:

• A Return Authorization number (RA#). Please contact our Customer Service to receive a RA#.
• A legible copy of the proof-of-purchase with your name, the name of the authorized dealer, the DOP and the model number of the product requiring service.
• Enclose a note stating the problem or issues with the product, your daytime phone number, email and return shipping address (within the USA, no P.O. Box please).

This warranty does not cover any product subjected to abuse, neglect, incorrect wiring, water or physical damage or any attempt to repair or modify the product by anyone other than an BAS Repair Technician. Any damages, resulting from legal action for breach of expressed or implied warranty shall be limited to the cost of the original purchase price of the product. All liability for coincidental damages are excluded under this warranty. The Customer agrees to retain the original proof-of-purchase for establishing the effective date of this warranty. If BAS or an Authorized Dealer replace your product under warranty, the replacement product shall be considered a transaction under the original warranty, and does not extend the original warranty period.
