How do I set the time on my Sekonda Classic 1097?

Pull the crown out to position B (middle click). Turn the crown to advance the hands to the correct time. Push the crown fully back to position A. If your watch has a date, ensure you set the time correctly for AM/PM: if the date changes when passing 12 o'clock, it is AM; if not, it is PM.

How do I set the date on my Sekonda Classic 1097?

Pull the crown out to position B. Turn the crown clockwise or anti-clockwise to set the correct date. Push the crown back to position A. Avoid setting the date between 8:30 PM and 1:30 AM, as the date change mechanism is in progress.

Is the Sekonda Classic 1097 water resistant?

If your watch is marked 'Water Resistant' on the dial or caseback, it is water resistant to at least 30 metres (3 ATM). This means it can withstand splashes and rain, but not swimming or bathing. If it is not marked, avoid any contact with water.

How do I change the battery?

Battery replacement should be carried out by a qualified watchmaker or jeweller. Opening the caseback yourself may damage the seals and void the water resistance. The typical battery type is a lithium button cell (e.g., SR626SW). After replacement, ensure the watch is re-sealed properly.

What is the warranty period and what does it cover?

The Sekonda Classic 1097 comes with a 2-year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. It covers replacement or repair of defective components at the company's discretion. Excluded are batteries, straps, bracelets, and damage caused by accident, misuse, or water penetration (unless the watch is marked water resistant).

How do I adjust the bracelet if it is too loose?

If your watch has a multiple clasp system (as shown on page 12 of the manual), you can reduce the bracelet size by opening and removing one or both adjustable clasps. For further adjustment, take the watch to a jeweller or follow the bracelet gauge instructions in the manual.

Can I swim with my Sekonda Classic 1097?

Only if it is marked water resistant to at least 50 metres (5 ATM). The Classic 1097 is typically rated to 30 metres, which is not suitable for swimming. Check the water resistance rating on your watch: 30m – no swimming; 50m – bathing and swimming; 100m – snorkelling; 200m – scuba diving.

What should I do if water gets inside my watch?

Immediately stop wearing the watch and send it to an authorised service centre or to Sekonda (T.P. (UK) Ltd) for inspection and repair. Water damage is not covered by the guarantee unless the watch is marked water resistant and has been properly maintained (seals replaced every 12 months).

How do I use the chronograph feature? (if equipped)

If your model has a chronograph, press pusher PB1 to start and stop the chronograph, and pusher PB2 to reset. To zero the hands, pull the crown to position C, then press PB1 to set the chronograph second hand to 12, and PB2 for the minute hand. Return the crown to position A.

How do I set the moon phase? (if equipped)

If your watch has a moon phase function, pull the crown to position B and turn it clockwise to set the correct moon phase. Refer to a moon phase calendar for the current date. Then set the date by turning anti-clockwise. For time/day setting, pull to position C and advance the hands until the correct day and time appear.

Certain chemicals in water may damage the watch seals. Tomaintain its water resistance, were recommend that your watch is serviced and re-sealed at least every 12 months by SEKONDA.
