How do I set the time on my Sekonda Classic 1224?

Pull the crown out to position B. Turn the crown to advance the hands to the correct time. Push the crown back to position A. For date watches, if the date changes when passing 12 o'clock, it is AM; if not, it is PM.

How do I set the date on this watch?

Pull the crown out to position B. Turn the crown clockwise or anticlockwise to set the correct date. Return the crown to position A. Avoid setting the date between 8.30pm and 1.30am as the date change cycle is in progress.

Is the Sekonda Classic 1224 water resistant?

If your watch is marked "Water Resistant" or has a depth rating on the dial or caseback, it is. Typical Classic models are water resistant to 30 metres, suitable for splashes and rain but not swimming or bathing. If not marked, avoid any water contact.

What battery does the Classic 1224 use?

The watch uses a common quartz battery such as SR626SW or equivalent. Battery life is typically 2-3 years. Replacement should be done by a professional to maintain water resistance.

How do I know if my watch is set to AM or PM?

When setting the time, if the date changes as the hands pass 12 o'clock, it is AM. If the date does not change, it is PM. This applies to date models.

Can I swim with my Classic 1224?

If rated to 30 metres, it is splash and rain resistant only. Do not swim or shower with it. For higher water resistance, check the caseback marking. Models rated to 50 metres allow bathing and swimming; 100 metres allow snorkelling.

How do I care for the bracelet?

Some models have a multiple clasp system for adjusting bracelet size. Open and remove one or both adjustable clasps to reduce size. For further adjustment, refer to the bracelet gauge instructions in the manual.

What is covered by the 2-year guarantee?

The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover batteries, straps, or damage from accidents, misuse, or water penetration on non-water-resistant models.

How do I get service under guarantee?

Send the watch by registered post to T.P. (UK) Ltd, Alexander House, Chartwell Drive, Wigston, Leicester LE18 2EZ, along with proof of purchase, the completed guarantee slip, and a note explaining the fault. Do not send the presentation box.

Why does my watch stop or lose time?

A dead battery is the most common cause. If the watch has a chronograph or other functions, ensure the crown is fully pushed in to position A to prevent excessive battery drain. Otherwise, a service may be needed.

If your watch is water resistant, it will clearly state "Water Resistant" or have a static water pressure indication (eg "30/50/100 metres") on the daily and/or caseback.

IfitisNOTmarkedaswaterresistant, it should not be allowed to come into contact with water or beworn in condition that could expose it to moisture (egwashing, heavy rainetc). Certain chemicals in water may damage the watch seals. Tomaintain its water resistance, were recommend that your watch is serviced and re-sealed at least every 12 months by SEKONDA.
