Safety
- This product is only intended for indoor, household use.
- Make sure that the voltage used is suitable for the appliance. Refer to the rating plate.
- Use only an earthed power point for this appliance.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning or during periods of non-use.
- To avoid electric shock, protect the appliance and its power lead from moisture or liquids.
- Never lower the product into water or other liquids.
- Never place the power lead over hot surfaces or sharp edges and corners.
- Do not pull out the plug by directly pulling on the power lead, pull the plug itself.
- The appliance becomes very hot during use, be careful not to touch any hot parts with your bare hands.
- The power lead should be regularly checked. Never use the device if the power lead or plug is damaged.
- The power lead if damaged in order to avoid the risk of shock or fire, may only be changed by the manufacturer, qualified service station or professional.
- Never let children use the appliance without adult supervision.
- Never use the product in the vicinity of other sources of heat e.g. the cooker.

- Never use the product for anything other than its intended use.
- The crock pot can also be used in a microwave oven or conventional oven. However, do not use the lid of the crock pot in the oven or microwave.
- The product may be used by children aged 8 or over provided they have been instructed in the safe use of the product and that they understand the hazards or risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or over, but only under adult supervision. Keep the product and its mains lead out of reach of children under the age of 8.
- The product may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or persons with a lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardize their safety, provided they have been instructed in the safe operation of the product and understand the hazards involved. Never let children play with the product.
- Never operate the product without food in the pot.
- Never operate the product by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.

Getting Started
- Unpack the product and make sure to remove all packing and protective material.
- Wash the lid and crock pot in water and a little washing-up detergent before using them for the first time.
- The crock pot and lid can be rinsed in water. The housing however, should never be submerged or rinsed with water. The housing should only be wiped with paper towels or a damp cloth.
- Replace the crock pot and lid.
Operating Instructions
Control levels
There are three heat levels:
OFF – No heat (cooker turned off)
LOW - Low heat
HIGH – High heat
WARM – “Keep warm” setting

Note: The WARM setting is only for keeping food warm. Food should only be cooked on the LOW or HIGH setting and then the cooker should be set to WARM to keep the food warm.
Cooking
- First, follow the instructions in the Getting Started section.
- Prepare the ingredients according to the recipe and place them into the crock pot.
- Plug the cooker into an earthed socket and set the control knob (4) to the heat setting (LOW/HIGH/WARM) needed for the recipe you are following. The indicator lamp will come on.
- When the food is ready, turn the control to OFF and unplug the cooker.
- Empty the contents into a serving plate or serve directly from the crock pot.
- Allow the pot and lid to cool before cleaning them.
Note:
- The crock pot will become hot during the cooking process. Use oven mitts or an oven cloth when handling the crock pot.
- Lift the lid away from you to avoid being scalded by steam.
Cooking Tips
Certain ingredients are not suitable for slow cooking. Pasta, shellfish and dairy products should be added at the earliest 2 hours before serving. Note that cooking times can vary depending on the temperature and amount of ingredients. Ingredients in large pieces can require a longer cooking time.
Care and maintenance
Cleaning
• Always unplug the product from the wall socket before cleaning.
- Wipe the housing with a soft, damp cloth.
Note: Never immerse or rinse the housing in water.
- Wash the crock pot and lid in warm water and washing-up liquid.
- The lid and pot can also be washed in the dishwasher.
Handling the crock pot and lid
- If the pot and lid are well cared for they will last longer.
- Avoid exposing the pot and lid to sudden temperature changes such as placing them onto a cold surface or into cold water.
- Do not expose the pot or lid to knocks or blows.
- Do not use the pot or lid if they are split or cracked.
- Do not use any sharp or abrasive utensils with this product. Use plastic or wooden kitchen utensils.
