How do I turn on the Mx Onda MX-HU2094 humidifier?

Touch the on/off button (item 2) with your fingertip. The indicator will light green, a melody will play, and steam will start coming out of the lid. Touch again to switch between low and high steam flow (blue indicator), and a third touch turns it off.

What type of water should I use in the humidifier?

Only fresh, clean cold water (temperature below 40°C). Do not use alcohol, essential oils, or any other liquids. Never fill with hot water.

INTRODUCTION

This device uses a piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer technology, which generates high-frequency vibrations that produce cool mist. The micro mist generated is not condensed, but it remains suspended in the air for long. Attention:

This device incorporates a safety device which automatically switches off the steam generator system when it detects that the water in the tank is insufficient or when the water tank is not properly attached to the base. USE OF HUMIDIFIER

Advance preparation

1. Place the humidifier on a dry, stable and level surface.
2. Check that the adapter plug cord is not attached to the humidifier and that the power adapter is unplugged from the mains.
3. Separate the water tank 3 of the base, pulling it up.
4. Turn the water tank so that the cap 5 is up.
5. Remove the tank cap 5 by turning it counterclockwise to clockwise.
6. Fill the reservoir 3 with clean water.
7. Replace the cap 5 in the fill hole 6 and turn it clockwise clockwise until the tank is closed.
8. Invert the tank and place it back on the humidifier base. Use a dry cloth to wipe the water droplets on the surface of the base and the tank.

Attention:

• NEVER fill the tank with water temperature above 40^ .
• Add only water through the filling orifice 6.
• Use only fresh, clean water. Never add in the tank or inside the base, alcohol, or balsamic scented oil or any other liquid.
• Do not use this appliance without water in the tank.

Start up

1. Connect the plug from the power adapter into the connector 4 on the rear of the humidifier. Insert the power adapter into an electrical outlet network.
2. If the water tank is not properly attached to the base or empty the operation mode indicator 2 it will light red.
3. To turn on the humidifier momentarily touch with the fingertip button on / off 2 and the operating mode indicator will light green color, you will hear a melody and steam it will start to come through the hole in the lid 1.
4. If you want to increase the steam flow again to play with the fingertip button on / off 2 will sound an audible warning and the mode indicator will light up in blue.
5. To turn off the humidifier again touch with the fingertip button on / off 2 will sound a melody and the operating mode indicator will go out.

Notes:

• Before moving the water tank for example; to fill it, take care to remove the lid 1 and with a cloth or paper towel collect water from the interior, the remains of water accumulated inside come from the steam that has not gone through the outlet port and does not mean a bad operation.
• The autonomy of the humidifier with a full tank of water exceeds 8 hours, this duration varies depending on the regulation of steam flow.
• For best results, there should be no drafts in the room where the humidifier is located.
• During operation of the humidifier, never move the appliance, do not obstruct the steam outlet of the lid 1, do not lift the reservoir 3 and do not touch the transducer membrane (metal area the size of a coin that is located at the base). If the humidifier is tilted, disconnect the power adapter from the mains before placing it correctly.

Draining

After using the humidifier, we recommend not to leave water in the tank or inside the base, to empty the water tank base and proceed as follows:

1. Unplug the power adapter and disconnect the mains plug of the humidifier.

2. Remove the cover 1 and with a clean, dry cloth, wipe off water from the steam outlet of the lid 1, the outside of the shell and the base. With all the dry elements place the tank on the base.

3. Lift the reservoir 3 and invert, remove the cap 5 as indicated above and pour the water into a sink. Replace the plug.
4. Before draining the water contained within the base, check that the humidifier is disconnected from the power adapter. Otherwise the membrane could be damaged. Pour the water from the base in a sump.

FAN

The fan generates a constant flow of air exiting the outlet of steam, and thus obtain a homogeneous flow of steam. The air inlet fan is located in the humidifier base. For this reason it is very important that in order not to obstruct the air intake, do not place the humidifier on a towel, carpet, carpeting, etc.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning or maintenance of the humidifier make sure the power adapter is not plugged into the mains.

Cleaning the base

Clean the plastic surface of the base with a damp cloth and dry with a dry. Do not use alcohol or abrasive products.

Tank cleaning

• Tank cleaning should be done once a week.
• Unscrew the tank cap 5 to drain the water as noted above.
• Fill the tank half full with clean fresh water. Put the cap 5 and shake the tank a few seconds. Remove the cap and pour the water into a sink.
• Thoroughly clean the plug and part of the thread of the vessel with a damp cloth and dry with a dry. Do not use alcohol or abrasive products. Clean the surface of the tank with a damp cloth and dry with a dry.

Transducing membrane cleaning

• The membrane cleaning should be done once a week, but if you see dirt in the same or cold steam flow decreases, cleaning this part must be carried out immediately.
• Check that the power adapter is disconnected from the mains. Pour into a drain the water contained within the humidifier base.
• Thoroughly dry the inside of the base unit with a dry cloth, then pour a few drops of vinegar on the transducer membrane, and wait a few minutes. After this time, use a cotton swab to release the remains of the membrane, then with a cloth moistened with water remove the debris.
  • After the membrane cleaning, dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.

Note: DO NOT touch the transducing membrane directly not use any metal and / or pointed object, use only a cloth and cotton swabs.
