When moving or lifting the monitor, follow these instructions to prevent the monitor from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation regardless of its shape or size.
It is advisable to place the monitor in the original box or packing material before attempting to move it.
Before moving or lifting the monitor, disconnect the power cord and all cables.
Hold the top and bottom of the monitor frame firmly. Do not hold the panel itself.

When moving the monitor, avoid any strong shock or vibrations to the product.
When moving the monitor, keep it upright, never turn the monitor on its side or tilt it sideways.

CAUTION
As far as possible, avoid touching the monitor screen. This may result in damage to the screen or some of the pixels used to create images.

CAUTION

Do not carry the monitor upside down by just holding the stand base. This may cause the monitor to fall off the stand and could result in personal injury.
When lifting or moving the monitor, do not touch the monitor screen. The force applied to the monitor screen may cause damage to it.
Do not apply foreign substances (oils, lubricants, etc.) to the screw parts when assembling the product. (Doing so may damage the product.)
Applying excessive force when tightening screws may cause damage to the monitor.
Damage caused in this way will not be covered by the product warranty.

NOTE
You can disassemble the stand in the reverse order of the assembly.
Mounting on a table
1 Lift and tilt the Monitor set into its upright position on a table.
Leave a 100 mm (4 inches) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

CAUTION

Adjusting the angle
1 Place the monitor in an upright position, mounted on the stand base.
2 Adjust the angle of the screen. The angle of the screen can be adjusted forwards or backwards for a comfortable viewing experience.

1 Raise the monitor to the maximum height.

NOTE
- Auto Pivot feature of the display is not supported.
- The screen can be rotated easily using the screen pivot shortcut key provided with your Windows operating system. Note that some Windows versions and some graphics card drivers may use different settings for the screen pivot key or may not support the pivot key at all.

WARNING
- To avoid scratching the stand base, make sure that when rotating the monitor using the pivot feature, the stand does not make contact with the monitor.

Using the Kensington security system
The Kensington security system connector is located at the back of the Monitor set. For more information of installation and using, refer to the manual supplied with the Kensington security system or visit http://www.kensington.com.
Connect the Kensington security system cable between the Monitor set and a table.

Use of the Kensington lock is optional. The accessories can be purchased at your local electronics store.
Detaching the Stand Body
1 Place the monitor's screen face down. To protect the screen from scratches, cover the surface with a soft cloth.
2 Remove the stand from the monitor by pressing the button on the bottom center of the back of the monitor.

This monitor supports the specification of the standard wall mount plate or compatible device.
1 Place the screen face down. To protect the screen from scratches, cover the surface with a soft cloth.
2 Detaching the Stand Body.
3 Place the wall mount plate onto the monitor and align it with the screw holes.
4 Tighten the four screws to fix the plate to the monitor using a screwdriver.

NOTE
The wall mount plate is sold separately. For more information on installation, refer to the wall mount plate's installation guide. Be careful not to use excessive force when mounting the wall mount plate, as this can damage the monitor's screen.
Installing to a wall
Install the monitor at least 100 mm away from the wall and leave about 100 mm of space at each side of the monitor to ensure sufficient ventilation. Detailed installation instructions can be obtained from your local retail store. Please refer to the manual to install and set up a tilting wall mounting bracket.

1 If you use screw longer than standard, the monitor might be damaged internally.
2 If you use improper screw, the product might be damaged and drop from mounted position. In this case, LG Electronics is not responsible for it.

CAUTION
Unplug the power cord before moving or installing the monitor to avoid electric shocks. Installing the monitor on the ceiling or on a slanted wall may result in the monitor falling off, which could lead to injury. Please use the genuine LG wall mounting bracket. For more information, contact your local retail store or a qualified installer.
Applying excessive force when fastening screws may cause damage to the monitor. Damage caused in this way will not be covered by the product warranty.
Use the wall mounting bracket and screws that conform to the VESA standard. Damage caused by the use or misuse of inappropriate components will not be covered by the product warranty.
Screw length from outer surface of back cover should be under 8mm.

NOTE
Use the screws specified by the VESA standard.
The wall mount kit includes the installation guide and all necessary parts.
The wall mounting bracket is optional. The accessories can be purchased at your local retail store.
The length of the screw may differ for each wall mounting bracket. Ensure the correct length screw is used.

USING THE MONITOR SET
Connecting to a PC
Your Monitor set supports Plug & Play ^* . *Plug & Play: A PC recognizes a connected device that users connect to a PC and turn on, without device configuration or user intervention.
DVI-D connection
Transmits a digital video signal from your PC to the Monitor set. Connect the PC and the Monitor set with a DVI cable as shown in the following illustrations.

Transmits the digital video and audio signals from your PC to the Monitor set. Connect the PC and the Monitor set with the HDMI cable as shown in the following illustrations.

Use a certified cable with the HDMI logo attached. If you do not use a certified HDMI cable, the screen may not display or a connection error may occur.

DisplayPort connection

NOTE
For supporting DP MST feature, your PC graphics card must be certified to DP1.2 and MST Option.
To enable MST connection, use DP cable as provided in box (or other DP1.2 certified cable) and change the DP setting to enable the Display Port 1.2 in Monitor Menu.
The default out of factory setting is DP1.1a (Disable the Display Port 1.2) When using MST, many monitor cannot be adjusted for OSD at the same time. Please change the monitor settings.
MST with DisplayPort can be supported up to 4 monitors.

HDMI connection
Transmits the digital video and audio signals from your AV devices to the monitor. Connect your AV device to the monitor with the HDMI cable as illustrated below.

Connecting Peripherals

NOTE
Make sure to install the most recent Windows OS service pack before using the product.
Peripheral devices are sold separately.
A•keyboard, mouse, or USB device can be connected to the USB port.
Quick charge is available throngh only USB1 port.
When the Monitor is gone to Power off, Quick charge is not available.
The charging speed may vary depending on the device.

CAUTION
Cautions When Using a USB Device
A•USB device with an automatic recognition program installed, or that uses its own driver, may not be recognized.
Some USB devices may not be supported or may not work properly.
It is recommended to use a USB hub or hard disk drive with power supplied. (If the power supply is not adequate, the USB device may not be recognized properly.)
Cautions when using a charging function.
Some mobile phones may not be supported or may not work properly.

Peripheral devices are sold separately. If you use angled headphones, it may cause a problem with connecting another external device to the monitor. Therefore, it is recommended to use straight headphones.

Depending on the audio settings of the PC and external device, headphones and speaker functions may be limited.

Activating the Main Menu
1 Press the Menu ( ■ ) button.
2 Use the <, >, v, ∧ buttons to adjust the options.
3 Press the Menu (■) button to exit the OSD menu.

NOTE
The display may look the same for Wide, Original options at the recommended resolution (1920 x 1080). The ratio is disabled in the interlaced signal.
Saving Data depends on the Panel. So, those values should be different from each panel and panel vendor. If option of SMART ENERGY SAVING is High or Low, monitor luminance become higher or lower depend on source.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Check the following before calling for service.
| No image appears | |
| Is the power cord of the display connected? | Check and see if the power cord is connected properly to the power outlet. |
| Is the power indicator light on? | Press the Power button. |
| Do you see an "Out of Range" message on the screen? | This message appears when the signal from the PC (video card) is out of horizontal or vertical frequency range of the display. See the 'Specifications' section of this manual and configure your display again. |
| Do you see a "NO SIGNAL" message on the screen? | After the monitor is on "NO SIGNAL", the monitor goes to DPM mode.This is displayed when the signal cable between the PC and the monitor is missing or disconnected. Check the cable and reconnect it.If monitor is DPM with power LED off condition,user should be press twice DC button for wake up monitor screen. |
| Can 't you control some functions in OSD? | |
| Can't you select some menu in OSD? | • You can unlock the OSD controls at any time by entering the OSD lock menu and changing items to off. |

CAUTION
Check Control Panel ▶ Display ▶ Settings and see if the frequency or the resolution were changed. If yes, readjust the video card to the recommend resolution.
If the recommended resolution (optimal resolution) is not selected, letters may be blurred and the screen may be dimmed, truncated or biased. Make sure to select the recommend resolution.
The setting method can differ by computer and O/S (Operation System), and resolution mentioned above may not be supported by the video card performance. In this case, please ask to the computer or the video card manufacturer.

| The screen color is mono or abnormal. | Check if the signal cable is properly connected and use a screwdriver to fasten if necessary.Make sure the video card is properly inserted in the slot.Set the color setting higher than 24 bits (true color) atControl Panel ▶Settings. |
| The screen blinks. | Check if the screen is set to interlace mode and if yes, change it to the recommend resolution. |
