Frequently Asked Questions - C-DMM-122 Havis

What vehicles is the Havis C-DMM-122 compatible with?

The C-DMM-122 is designed for 2013-2017 Ford Interceptor Sedans. It does not work with the Interior Upgrade Package (Code 12P).

Do I need additional brackets to install a monitor?

Yes, you need a monitor-specific adaptor bracket (C-MM-200 series) and possibly an offset adaptor (C-MM-301). The C-MM-301 may not be required for some applications.

What tools are needed for installation?

You will need a ratchet wrench, jig saw or plastic cutting tool, socket set, dash panel removal tools, 7/16" and 10mm open end wrenches, and a Phillips screwdriver.

Can I use a tablet docking station with this mount?

Yes, docking stations for tablets can be bolted directly to the C-DMM-122. An additional offset adaptor (C-MM-303) is available if more positioning options are desired.

Does the mount include a gas spring?

Yes, it has a gas spring to assist door opening and prevent slamming. An optional stronger gas spring (CM86662-30) is available for heavier equipment.

Is cutting required for installation?

Yes, you must cut a 1/4" high by 5 1/2" long slot in the center of the lower trim panel to allow the support bracket to pass through.

How do I route wiring?

The main frame has wire tie holes for securing harnesses. Run wiring down the passenger side of the center dash as desired.

Can I mount additional controls like a Whelen Cen-Com?

Yes, the C-DMM-122 has provisions for mounting a Whelen Cen-Com control. However, this will block the OEM 12-volt sockets, and mounting hardware must be provided by the installer.

What is the torque specification for the bolts?

Lower support bracket bolts: torque to 5 Nm (44 lb-in). Upper support bracket bolts: torque to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

SWING-OUT DASH MONITOR MOUNT

** Does NOT work in Interceptor Sedan with Interior Upgrade Package (Code 12P) **

The Dash Monitor Mount bracket system requires two or three main parts that are sold separately. See web site Monitor Congurator for more detailed bracket informaon.

• 1 - Vehicle Specific dash mount bracket. (C-DMM-122)
• 1 - Computer Specific Monitor adaptor bracket. (C-MM-200 series)
• 1 - Oset adaptor bracket. (C-MM-301)

The C-MM-301 oset adaptor goes between the C-DMM-122 and C-MM-2XX. It may not be required in some applications.

Docking staons for tablet applicaons can be bolted directly to C-DMM without adaptor. Oset adaptor C-MM-303 is available if additional poisoning opons are desired for docking station.

Loosely each upper support bracket to upper dash mount holes with 6 mm x 30 mm hex bolts, 1/4" lock washers and at washers.

Place main frame assembly onto support brackets. Loosely each top of frame to upper support bracket with 1/4"x 3/4" pan head Phillips bolts, lock washers and at washers.

Tighten all mount hardware on main frame assembly
