Frequently Asked Questions - 7004 Ansel

How do I make a call with the Ansel 7004?
Lift the handset or press 'Hand Free'. When you hear the dial tone, dial the number. The device automatically selects GSM or PSTN routing based on your prefix settings. You can press '#' to send the call immediately.
How do I change the working mode?
Press the 'Menu' key when the device is standby. Use 'Up' or 'Down' to select '1: Work Mode', then press 'Enter'. Choose among GSM only, PSTN only, or GSM/PSTN auto switch. Press 'Enter' to save.
How can I adjust the call volume?
Press 'Menu' and select 'GSM VOLUME'. Pick up the handset and use 'Up' or 'Down' to adjust microphone and speaker levels (1-5). Alternatively, dial *33XY# where X is microphone level and Y is speaker level (e.g., *3314# sets mic=1, speaker=4).
How do I set speed dialing numbers?
Press 'Menu' and select '4: GSM SEND LEN'. Press 'Enter' to add a new entry. Pick up the handset and input prefix#length# (e.g., 0755#12#). The number will be sent immediately upon detecting the specified length. To delete, select 'DEL DIAL LEN' and enter the prefix#.

What should I do if I have no dial tone?
Ensure you are using the grey 4-pin cable to connect the 'Phone' port to your telephone. Check that the cable length is under 100 meters and that the telephone line (PSTN) is properly connected. Also verify the device is powered on and the SIM card is inserted correctly.
Which SIM cards are supported?
Only 3.3V SIM cards are supported. Old 5V or 1.8V SIM cards will not work. If you get a 'SIM PIN ERROR', ensure the PIN code is disabled or correct. After 3 wrong PIN attempts, the SIM will be locked and require a PUK code from your carrier.
How do I connect the device to my telephone?
Use the grey 4-pin RJ-11 cable (provided) to connect the 'Phone' port on the terminal to your telephone. The white cable is for connecting to the PSTN line. The grey cable has a specific wiring for proper dial tone – do not substitute with a standard telephone cable.
