ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY

When operated according to manufacturer instructions, the product complies with all applicable CE harmonised standards from EMC Directive 200/108/EC and Part 1 of the FCC Rules. The connections conducting HF signals must not be damaged or altered in any way by the user.

Display extreme caution when using ladders or steps, please follow manufacturer's instructions. Be careful when using hand and power tools and follow the manufacturer's guidelines when using them. Take care that the correct tools are used. Wee goggles or protective clothing where required.

INTRODUCTION

Thanks for choosing the Zipato Multisensor 4 in 1 door/window contact sensor, humidity sensor, temperature sensor, and light sensor. This sensor is a Z-Wave enabled device interoperable, two ways RF mesh networking technology and is fully compatible with an Z-Wave enabled network and its security framework. Every main powered Z-Wave enabled device acts as a signal repeater and multiple devices result, in more possible transmission routes which helps eliminate "RF deed-spots". Z-Wave enabled devices displaying the Z-Wave logo can also be used with it regardless of the manufacturer, and this device can also be used in other manufacturer's Z-Wave enabled networks. Zipato Multisensor 4 in 1 sends Z-Wave signal where door or window is opened or closed or there is humidity, temperature, luminance change.

This product is a security enabled Z-Wave product that is able to use encrypted Z-Wave messages to communicate to other security enabled Z-Wave products. A security enabled Z-Wave controller should be used in order to fully utilize the product.

INSTALLATION

Notice: If you are installing the entire Z-Wave system for the first time, please refer to the installation guide of Z-Wave Controller before installing Multisensor 4-in-1.

1 Push release button to open the rear cover.

2 | Using adhesive tape to attach the rear cover on the frame along the opening edge of door / window

3 I Insert CR14250 into the battery compartment, if user presses the program switch, Multisensor 4 in 1 will send the Node Information Frame (NIF). Multisensor 4 in 1 will go to sleep if user didn't press the program switch within 20 seconds.

LED Status for Z-Wave Network:

■ It user presses the program switch, the red LED will flash 5 times if the Multisensor 4 in 1 has not been included yet.

■ It user presses the program switch, the red LED will flash 1 times if the Multisensor 4 in 1 has been included.

4 | "Inclusion" (adding) to the Z-Wave network: Put the Z-Wave Controller into "inclusion" mode, and follow its instruction to add the Multisensor 4 in 1 to your controller. To get in the "inclusion" mode, the distance between sensor and controller is suggested to be within one meter. Press the program switch once on Multisensor 4 in 1 for sending the NIF. After sending NIF, Z-Wave will send the auto inclusion, otherwise, Multisensor 4 in 1 will go to sleep after 20 seconds.

5 | "Exclusion" (removing) from the Z-Wave network: Put the Z-Wave Controller into "exclusion" made, and follows its instruction to delete the Multisensor 4 in 1 from your controller. Press the program switch of Multisensor 4 in 1 for 1 second at least to be excluded.

Note: All user and network settings will be cleared and the device reset to factory defaults when the device is excluded.

6 | Push back the rear cover, the LED should go off.

7 Fix the Magnet by using the adhesive tape, locate the Magnet close to the Multisensor 4 in 1. The distance between these two devices should be 2 cm. Make sure the device is located in a place without a shelter above and nothing blocks the sensor area.

6 | Awake Mode: Press the Program SW, the LED will flash one time and Multisensor 4 in 1 will, send "Wake Up Notification" after 5 seconds. If Multisensor 4 in 1 received "Wake Up No More Information" command than the Multisensor 4 in 1 will go to sleep or it will wait 10 seconds then go to sleep. It will precede all the commands after sending the "Wake Up Notification".

9 | Auto Wake Up: Use 'Wake Up' command to set up the awakening time and send the wake up notification to controller. User can use command to change the auto wake up from 10 minutes to 1 week, Interval increment is 3 minutes.

10 | Battery Capacity Detection:

■ Use "Battery Bet" command to have the battery capacity back in %

■ I. will detect the battery capacity automatically.

Low Battery Auto Report flow battery is set as 2.6+/-0.1 Voltage,

detects every 2 hours

11 | Association

■ Support grouping identifier = 1, one group with 5 nodes.

Association is used for other capacity automatically

All triggering reports & low voltage report will be sent to the associated nodes.

12 | Power Level Control:

■ Use "Power Level Set" to set up the RF strength.

Use "Power Level Test Node Set" to test specific node's RF

sensitivity.

14 | Support AES function. Security enabled Z-Wave controller must be used to fully utilize the product.

15 | Factory Default. Reset: Open the rear cover to send the Alarm Report and then press the program switch 10 times in '10 seconds, Multisensor 4 in ↑ will send the "Device Reset. Locally" command and reset to the factory default.

Notice: Please use this procedure only in the event if the network controller is missing or is otherwise inoperable.

OPERATION

1 Opening/Closing the door/window to separate the magnet from the sensor will send signal to any association nodes according to the Status/Signal table on next page and the LED will flash once.

2 | When Multisensor 4 in 1 no trigger, the LED will flash every minute to show the colour of temperature.

3 | If the cover of sensor is removed, the tamper switch will send signal according to the status/signal table, and the LCD will flash once. Multisensor 4 in 1 will send signal according to the status/signal table after closing the rear cover back 2 seconds.

4 | Temperature - If the present temperature is different from the sensor record and exceed the setting program, the sensor will report the present temperature. LED flashes every minute to represent the temperature or wake up by pressing the Program SW.

The Limited Product Warranty set forth below is given by Tri plus groupe d.o.o. [Europe] (here in referred to as "ZIPATO"). This Limited Product Warranty is only effective upon presentation of the practice of purchase. Upon further request by ZIPATO, this warranty card has to be presented, too.

The term "ZIPATO Hardware Product" is limited to the hardware components and all its internal components including firmware. The term "ZIPATO Hardware Product" DOES NOT include any software applications or programs.

GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE OF THE LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY

This Limited Product Warranty is applicable to Hardware Products sold by Zipato Rosellers in all countries listed at the beginning of this document under the heading. Countries in which this ZIPATO Limited Product Warranty applies. The Limited Product Warranty will be honored in any country where ZIPATO or its authorized service providers offer warranty service subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Limited Product Warranty. However, warranty service availability and response times may vary from country to country and may also be subject to registration requirements.

LIMITATION OF PRODUCT WARRANTY

ZIPATO warrants that the products described below under

normal use are free from material defects in materials and workmanship during the Limited Product Warranty Period set forth below ("Limited Product Warranty Period"). If the product is used and serviced in accordance with the user manual and other documentation provided to the purchaser at the time of purchase (or as amended from time to time).

ZIPATD does not warrant that the products will operate uninterrupted or error-free or that all deficiencies, errors, defects or non-conformities will be corrected.

This warranty shall not apply to problems resulting from: (a) unauthorized alterations or attachments; (b) negligence, abuse or misuse, including failure to operate the product in accordance with specifications or interface requirements; (c) improper handling; (d) leisure of goods or services not obtained from ZIPATC or not subject to a then-effective ZIPATC warranty or maintenance agreement; (e) improper use or storage; or [1] fire, water, acts of Cod or other cause/propic events. This warranty shall also not apply to any particular product if any ZIPATC serial number has been removed or delozen in any way.

ZIPATO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE THAT OCCURS AS A RESULT OF YOUR FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ZIPATO HARDWARE PRODUCT.

LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY PERIOD

The Limited Product Warranty Period starts on the date of purchase from ZIPATO. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of purchase of the product, is your proof of the purchase date. You may be required to provide proof of purchase as a condition of receiving warranty service. You are entitled to warranty service according to the terms and conditions of this document if a repair to your ZIPATO brand; acreware is required within the limited Product Warranty Period.

(Other then in respect of products for domestic use in particular those listed in the first and last boxes in the table below, this Limited Product Warranty extends only to the original end user purchaser of this ZIPATO Hardware Product and is not transferable to anyone who catains ownership of the ZIPATO Hardware Product from the original end user purchaser.

PERFORMANCE OF THE LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY

If a product defect occurs, ZIPATU's sole obligation shall be to repair or replace any defective ZIPATU Hardware Product free of charge provided it is returned to an Authorized ZIPATU Service Center during the Limited Warranty Period. Such repair or replacement will be reactivated by ZIPATU at an Authorized ZIPATU Service Center. All commercial parts or hardware products that are replaced under this Limited Product Warranty become the property of ZIPATU. The replacement part of product takes on the remaining Limited Warranty Period of the replaced part or product. The replacement product need no be used or of an identical mix, model or parts; ZIPATU may in its discretion replace the defective product (or any part from) with any recorded equivalent (or superior) product in all material respects to the defective product.
