Frequently Asked Questions - Lagomat 17-62096-241 Bruno Söhnle

How do I wind the watch?
Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise (if screw-down). Turn the crown clockwise about 30 rotations until you feel resistance. This fully winds the mainspring. The watch also winds automatically with arm movement.
What is the water resistance of this watch?
The watch is water resistant to 5 bar (50 meters). It is suitable for swimming but not for diving. Ensure the crown is screwed down tightly before any water contact.
How do I set the date?
Pull the crown out to the first click (position 2). Turn the crown to set the correct date. Avoid setting the date between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. to prevent damage to the movement.
How do I set the time?
Pull the crown out completely (position 3). The second hand stops. Turn the crown to set the correct time. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
What should I do if the watch stops?
If the watch stops due to insufficient movement, manually wind it by turning the crown clockwise about 30 times. The watch will then run automatically again.
Can I wear the watch in the shower or bath?
No. The watch is rated for swimming but not for hot water, steam, or soapy conditions. Avoid wearing it in the shower or bath as heat and chemicals can damage seals.
How often should I service the watch?
Bruno Söhnle recommends having the watch inspected and serviced every 3 years by an authorized dealer to maintain water resistance and performance.
Is the watch strap waterproof?
The leather strap is not waterproof. Avoid getting it wet. If wet, dry it with a soft cloth. For frequent water exposure, consider a metal or rubber strap.
What is the accuracy of the movement?
Automatic movements have a timekeeping variation of about ±20 seconds per day. This is normal for mechanical watches. The watch is adjusted to run slightly fast.
What does the warranty cover?
The 24-month warranty covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage from improper use, accidents, normal wear, broken glass, straps, or battery (if any). Keep the warranty card for claims.

QUALITYCERTIFICATE

We congratulate you on your Bruno Söhnle watch.

In order for you to fully enjoy your watch, we recommend that you read through these operating instructions and note the following information.

Bruno Söhnle watches are manufactured and inspected by our qualified watchmakers in the former Assmann house in Glashütte/Sachsen, a town with a long tradition of watchmaking. A timekeeping variation of approx. 20 seconds a day can nevertheless occur. This is also an idiosyncrasy of the best mechanical watches and is normal for a vibrant watch movement. The models are adjusted so that they run slightly fast. The fully wound automatic watch will reach a power reserve of up to 38 hours after it is taken off.

BRUNO SÖHNLE UHRENATELIER

GLASHÜTTEISA

Please note that automatic watches are not absolutely accurate and can stop if they are moved too little during the day! If this should be the case, you can also manually wind the watch using the crown.

(Clockwise, approx. 30 rotations = fully wound)

With this quality passport, we guarantee the flawless operation of your Bruno Söhnle watch. Any possible defects are covered by our 24-month warranty starting on the date of purchase.

FINEST TECHNOLOGY

All watches from Bruno Söhnle meet the highest quality standards.

The stainless steel casings are produced from high quality and skin-friendly surgical steel (316L). The casing is characterised by its hardness, high level of comfort and low nickel content.

The non-reflective sapphire glass is among the hardest of watch glasses and ensures good readability and is extremely scratch-resistant. The high level of light penetration allows the face always to appear in bright light. With some models, the crown and the glass base are screwed together. Please note that the impermeability of these watches is ONLY guaranteed when the crown is screwed in tightly. The watch strap links are also partially screwed together. The leather watch straps are free of synthetic dyes and and provided with a nickel-free clasp.

GLASHÜTTEISA

In the watches of the automatic collection from Bruno Söhnle, the operating movement has five basic components that are produced in Glashütte and surfaces that are machined and refined by our watch workshop. The three hands and the date display are mechanically driven.

In the Bruno Söhnle workshops in Glashütte, the base plate, automatic bridge, clockwork bridge, winding bridge and balance cock are perlaged and machined on the surface with a variety of electroplatings (yellow / rosé gold and nickel).

The rotor is a proprietary development of Bruno Söhnle and is likewise manufactured in Glashütte. The manufacturer and manufacturing location are laser-engraved on the top of the rotor – clearly visible through the glass base of the watch. Every watch is designated with its own identity number.

BRUNO SÖHNLE WARRANTY

General information on the water resistance of your watch in accordance with DIN 8310: Water resistance is not a permanent property. It should be checked annually and also before particular stresses since the built-in sealing elements are subject to a natural ageing process and thereby decrease in their function and in daily use. External impacts can also influence water resistance. The pressure specified on your watch reflects the test pressure and must not be misunderstood as an indication of possible immersion depth.

Water resistance up to 3 bar: These Bruno Söhnle watches have been tested up to the stated atmospheric pressure of 3 bar and are protected against surface contact with water. Immersion in water should be avoided. Heavy perspiration can also impair water resistance. The 3 bar specification is not recommended for swimming and other types of water sports.

BRUNO SÖHNLE UHRENATELIER

GLASHÜTTEISA

Water resistance up to 5 bar: These Bruno Söhnle watches have been tested up to the stated atmospheric pressure of 5 bar. The glass and seals will withstand this pressure. This watch may be worn for swimming. In order to ensure lasting water resistance, have your watch checked and inspected annually.

Water resistance up to 10 bar: These Bruno Söhnle watches have been tested up to the stated atmospheric pressure of 10 bar and are the ideal partner for all types of water sports except diving. In the case of intensive use or heavy perspiration, it is very important to have an inspection performed annually.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Avoid high temperatures Do not leave your watch in direct sunlight or in very warm or cold locations for a long period. This can lead to condensation and substantial differences in timekeeping.

Avoid strong impacts This watch will withstand normal impacts that occur during play or sporting activities. Avoid dropping your watch on the ground or exposing it to other excessive impacts. In particular, impacts on the crown should be avoided.

Avoid strong magnetic fields Keep your watch away from the immediate reach of strong magnetic fields. The operation of your watch will generally not be influenced by the magnetic fields of household, television or stereo devices.

BRUNO SÖHNLE UHRENATELIER GLASHÜTTEISA

Avoid chemicals, solvents and gases Do not wear your watch while using strong chemicals, solvents or harmful gases. If your watch comes into contact with these materials, degradation of the quality or damage to the casing or its seals, the watch strap or other components of the watch could occur.

Keep your watch clean Wipe off with a soft clean cloth any trace of water and area of dampness on the casing, glass or strap. Any dirt on the casing or the watch strap could cause a skin rash. A watch strap will be soiled by deposits of sweat and dust. A stainless or gold-plated strap can corrode if it is not cleaned over a longer period of time.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Periodic inspection In order to maintain the watch in trouble-free functioning condition over many years, we recommend that you have the watch inspected every 3 years.

We wish you a lot of enjoyment with your Bruno Söhnle watch.
