OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Unpacking and checking

  • Remove all packaging and check the appliance for damage.
  • Do not use the appliance if it is damaged in any way. Bring it back to the dealer immediately.
  • Clean the hand mixer, beaters and dough hooks before first use with a damp cloth and wipe it off ("Cleaning and care").

Blending

  • Attach the beaters or dough hooks to the hand mixer. Slightly turn the beaters or dough hooks and adjust them, until they click and lock into place. Dough hooks are only used for mixing dough and beaters are only used for blending eggs or similar food.
  • Ensure that the speed switch is set to position 0. Connect the power plug to a suitable wall outlet.
  • Lower the hand mixer into a mixing bowl with ingredients and put the speed switch to position 1 to switch on the appliance. There are five speed positions.
  • If you press the TURBO button the speed will increase 15%. The left and right buttons are the same but can not be pressed at the same time.
  • Caution: While blending do not put knives, metal spoons, forks or similar items into the mixing bowl.
  • Put the speed switch to position 0 to switch off the appliance and pull the power plug out of the wall outlet.
  • Remove the beaters and dough hooks in position 0 only. Press the Eject button to release the beaters or dough hooks and remove them from the mixer.

Short time operation

  • The appliance is designed for processing food quantities commonly used in the average household.
  • If the appliance is subjected to extreme load, the motor might be overloaded. In this case it is required to let the motor cool down to room temperature.
  • This appliance must never be operated for over 5 minutes one time. Before operating it again allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature.
    • If the appliance will heat up, turn it off immediately and pull the power plug.
  • Let the appliance cool down completely before operating it again.

Advices

  • Always start blending at slow speeds. Gradually increase the speed to the recommended speed as stated in the recipe.
  • Blend the ingredients only as long as it is recommended in the recipe. Fold dry ingredients into mixture only until just combined. Always use the low speed.
  • Refrigerated ingredients, e.g. butter and eggs can easier be blended if they are at room temperature.
  • Climatic conditions, seasonal temperature changes, temperature of ingredients and their texture variation from area to area have an influence on the required mixing time and the achieved results.

CLEANING AND CARE, TECHNICAL DATA

  • Disconnect the power plug and allow the device to cool off prior to cleaning.
  • Clean the beakers and the dough hooks after use with warm water and a mild detergent and wipe them off. The beaters and dough hooks may be washed in the dishwasher.

  • Clean the exterior surfaces of the device with a slightly damp cloth and then rub dry.
