Frequently Asked Questions - TTF 990A+ SEG

How do I set the temperature on my SEG TTF 990A+ freezer?
Turn the thermostat knob inside the freezer. The numbers 1-7 indicate cooling power; higher means colder. A medium setting (3-4) is recommended for daily use.
How do I defrost the chest freezer?
Unplug the freezer, remove all food and baskets. Leave the lid open. Place towels to absorb water. Do not use sharp tools; use a plastic scraper if needed. Wipe dry and plug in after defrosting.
What does the 'Fast Freeze' function do?
The Fast Freeze function operates the compressor continuously to quickly lower the temperature. Use it when adding large amounts of fresh food to preserve quality. Turn it off after 24 hours to save energy.
Why is my freezer not freezing properly?
Check if the thermostat is set correctly, the lid is fully closed, and the ventilation grilles are not blocked. Also ensure the freezer is not overloaded. If the problem persists, the gasket or compressor may need service.
How do I clean the freezer?
Unplug the freezer and remove all food. Clean the interior with a soft cloth and mild detergent mixed with warm water. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Can I use an extension cord with this freezer?
It is not recommended. If necessary, use a heavy-duty extension cord rated for at least 10 amps. Ensure the cord is grounded and not damaged.
What is the storage time during a power failure?
The storage time is approximately 20 hours if the freezer is full and the lid is kept closed. Avoid opening the lid during a power outage.
How do I level the freezer?
Use the adjustable front feet. Turn them clockwise to raise or counterclockwise to lower. Place a spirit level on the top to ensure the freezer is level front to back and side to side.
Where can I find spare parts like a key or basket?
Spare parts are available from the manufacturer or authorized dealers for at least 5 years after purchase. Contact SEG customer support for ordering.
Is the freezer lock child-safe?
The lock is secure with a key. Keep the key out of reach of children. The lock can be opened from the inside by turning the handle, but always supervise children near the appliance.

Be sure that everything is in normal condition and the freezer can be plugged in. 2. When operating for the first time

When operating is in normal condition and the freezer without any load until it auto stops at the desired temperature, usually it takes 2 or 3 hours. Then set the thermostat to the required setting and place foods in.
