If you hold the kitchen scale by the handle and empty out the contents whilst the jug is still in place, hold the jug as shown in the picture to prevent it from coming off.
- It might be necessary to remove a piece of insulating film from the battery before the kitchen scale can be used. The insulation film preserves battery capacity of the kitchen scale during transportation and storage (refer to the Battery section below).
- Never immerse the kitchen scale in water. The measuring jug should be thoroughly washed after contact with foodstuffs.

Control panel

- [MODE] Selects the function: Weighing mode, Water mode (volume), Milk mode (volume), Oil mode (volume) or Flour mode (volume).
- [UNIT] Selects the units for weighing: g (grams) or lb:oz (pounds/ounces). Volume: ml (millilitres) or cups.
- [ON/OFF, ZERO] Turns scale on/off, resets it to zero.

Battery
- Open the battery cover by sliding it downwards in the direction of the arrow.
- If there is any insulation film around the battery, remove it.
- Slide the battery cover back into place.
Changing batteries
- Open the battery cover by sliding it downwards in the direction of the arrow.
- Carefully push the battery into the holder so that it is free of the plastic lugs holding it in place.
- Lift and remove the battery.
- Insert a new battery by sliding it into the holder and then making sure that it is held in place by the lugs.

Operating instructions
- Switch the kitchen scale on by pressing [ ON/OFF, ZERO ], the scale will start in weighing mode.
- Press [MODE] repeatedly to change modes.
- Switch the kitchen scale off by holding in [ON/OFF, ZERO] for at least 3 seconds.
- The kitchen scale will automatically switch off if the display shows "0" or shows the same weight/volume reading for 30 seconds.

Weighing
Note: Flour is only measured in cups. 1 cup = 241 ml.
- Placed the kitchen scale on a firm, flat surface.
- If the measuring jug is to be used, place the jug onto the scale.
- Press [ON/OFF, ZERO] to switch the kitchen scale on, the scale will start in weighing mode.
- Wait until "0" is displayed. Place the object to be weighed onto the scale or in the jug and read the weight reading.
Measuring the volume of milk (in ml)
- Place the kitchen scale on a firm, flat surface.
- Place the measuring jug onto the scale.
- Press [ON/OFF, ZERO] to switch the kitchen scale on, the scale will start in weighing mode.
- Wait until "0" is displayed. Press [MODE] until the arrow symbol indicates that "MILK" is selected.
- Press [UNIT] to select ml as the unit of measurement.
- Pour milk into the measuring jug.
- Read the volume on the display.
Tare function
The tare function enables you to measure several ingredients together in the measuring jug at the same time without having to empty the jug between measurements.
- Add the first ingredient until the correct amount is shown on the display.
- Leave the first ingredient in the jug and press [ ON/OFF, ZERO ]. The scale will be reset to zero.
- Add the next ingredient until the correct amount is shown on the display. Press [ON/OFF,ZERO]. The scale will once again be set to zero.
- Add the next ingredient and so on, until all the ingredients have been weighed.
Changing the unit of weight
Press [UNIT] to toggle the unit between g (grams) and lb:oz (pounds/ounces).
Changing the unit of volume
Press [UNIT] to toggle between ml, fl oz and cups.
Error/Warning messages
- Replace the battery.
- Overload - the scale's weight capacity (3 kg) has been exceeded. Remove the load from the scale to prevent damage.

Care and maintenance
- Clean the kitchen scale using a lightly moistened cloth. Only use mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
- Never immerse the kitchen scale in water.
- The measuring jug should be thoroughly washed after contact with foodstuffs.
- This kitchen scale is a precision instrument and should not be subjected to vibrations, impacts or blows.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.
