Frequently Asked Questions - TKG JK 1003 KALORIK

How to descale my Kalorik TKG JK 1003 kettle?
To descale, fill the kettle halfway with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1) or use a commercial descaling agent. Bring to a boil, let sit for 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if necessary.
Why won't my kettle turn on?
Check that the base is properly plugged in and the kettle is correctly placed on the base. Make sure the switch is in the on position. If the problem persists, the dry boil safety system may be activated: let it cool down for a few minutes before trying again.
Can I boil water with milk or soups?
No, this kettle is designed only for heating water. Never boil milk, soup, or any other viscous liquids, as this could clog and damage the appliance.
How to clean the descaling filter?
The removable filter in the spout can be easily removed. Wash it under running water while gently brushing with a soft brush. For deeper descaling, let it soak in white vinegar.
The kettle stops before boiling, what to do?
This may be due to limescale buildup on the heating element. Perform a complete descaling. Also check that the lid is properly closed and the water level is sufficient.
What is the maximum capacity of the kettle?
The maximum capacity is 1.7 liters. Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the water level window to avoid overflowing during boiling.
Can I use the kettle without the provided base?
No, the kettle only works with its specific rotating base. Never use another base, as this could cause malfunction or danger.
How to prevent limescale buildup?
Use filtered or demineralized water if your water is very hard. Always empty residual water after use and descale regularly (every 1 to 3 months depending on water hardness).
What to do if the indicator light does not turn on?
Check the power supply and the base connection. If the kettle heats up but the light stays off, the LED may be defective. Contact Kalorik after-sales service.
Where to find spare parts for this model?
Contact Kalorik customer service or visit the official website to order parts such as the descaling filter or base. Keep the reference TKG JK 1003.
