USER MANUAL TKG JK 7 KALORIK

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION

  • Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these instructions.
  • This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar applications such as:

Environments of the "bed and breakfast" type.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.

OPERATION

• Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.
- Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to fill under the minimum mark and above the maximum mark in the kettle.
- Release the lid and make sure it closes correctly.
- Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light of the switch will come on, indicating that the appliance is operating. If it does not come on, check if the kettle is correctly positioned on the base and check if the base is plugged in.
- The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling. However, you can stop the appliance any time by putting the switch in off-position.
• For instant reboiling, wait until water has cooled down and switch on the appliance again.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

  • This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device which switches the appliance off when it is accidentally switched on without water. Please bear in mind that only the thermostat is switched off in case of overheat, whereas the switch stays in ON-position.
  • In this case, switch off the appliance by putting the switch in OFF-position and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then pour in sufficient cold water to cover the element. This will reset the safety device.
    • The kettle may then be used as normal.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.
    • To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Never use abrasive products.
  • On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.

FILTER

  • Your appliance is provided with a filter. When you want to boil water, settle the filter first.
  • When the lid is open, you can remove the particle filter by pulling it and clean it under running water.
  • Filter should be rinsed clean regularly.

DESCALING

To remove scale from the jug kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose. Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles.
