Protective coating
The grill plate (1) and the raclette pans (3) do have a protective coating. Apply some oil on the grill plate (1) and raclette pans (3) using a brush or a piece of paper kitchen towel. Place the raclette pans (3) inside the appliance and heat up the appliance, without food, for approx. 10 minutes on the highest setting. This could cause a slight build-up of smoke and odour. This doesn't cause any harm nor does it mean that your appliance does not work properly. Make sure that the room is well ventilated!
Afterwards, let the appliance and accessories completely cool down and clean them according to “Cleaning and Care”.
Raclette
Raclette is the perfect way to gather family and friends around the table for a delicious, casual dining experience. Prepare your individual typical Swiss raclette cheese meal or make your own creations.
Stone plate

Attention: The stone plate (2) needs approx. 20 – 30 tes to heat up.
The stone plate (2) is a natural and food safe product.
Small cracks, which can occur due to the natural expansion of the stone during the heating up process, do not have any impact on the usage resp. function of the stone plate (2).
Apply heat-resistant vegetable oil to the stone plate (2) before first use and every other use thereafter. This procedure will not only avoid that the foods will stick to the stone plate (2), but, will also increase the life span of it.
Sprinkle some salt onto the stone plate (2), that way the meat won't stick to it.
After continuous usage, the colour of the stone will become darker.
Operation

The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high and operation. Therefore, do not touch the appliance and/or immediately after operation.
Tip: Before switching on the appliance, prepare all ingredients in advance in bite size portions and arrange them in bowls or on a platter, in order for everyone to serve themselves.
- Place the raclette grill in the middle of the table.
- Make sure that the grill plate (1) and stone plate (2) are properly fitted onto the support (10) and that the smooth side of the stone plate (2) is facing upwards.
- Apply some oil on the grill plate (1) and the raclette pans (3).
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed and easily accessible socket.
- Switch the appliance on by turning (clockwise direction) the temperature control switch (7) to the highest level. Heat the appliance up for approx. 10 minutes. The indicator light (6) lights up.
Attention: The stone plate (2) needs approx. 20 – 30 minutes to heat up.
- After this heating up process, adjust the temperature by sliding the temperature control switch (7) to your desired level. The integrated thermostat will keep the preset temperature at a constant level. As soon as the respective temperature is reached the indicator light (6) goes out.
Attention: The temperature control (7) is continuously variable.
- Fill the raclette pans (3) according to your taste only with
appliance. Remove the pans (3) as soon as the cheese has melted or the other food is done according to your liking.

Attention: Do pay attention to the fact that the stone plate (2) needs a longer heating up phase.
Attention: Only use the provided wooden spatula (12) or a heat
(e.g. knife, metal spatula, etc.) as they would damage the non-stick coating of the grill plate (1) and the raclette pans (3).
- After use, always disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down before cleaning.
Attention: The raclette grill cannot be switched off with the temperature control switch (7). Therefore, turn the temperature control switch (7) to minimum position and disconnect the appliance from the mains. Let it completely cool down.
During operation, an integrated thermostat switches the appliance on and off to ensure a constant temperature.
Classic Raclette recipe:
For 4 people:
1 glass pearl onions 1 glass cornichons Pepper from the pepper mill
Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil them in their jackets. Make sure to keep them warm. Place the pearl onions and cornichons in two separate bowls. Cut the raclette cheese into pan size slices and place them on a plate.
Place the raclette cheese in the raclette pans and let it melt.
Once the cheese has melted put it over the halved potatoe.
Add some pepper and enjoy.
According to your taste you can add additional trimmings, e.g. various kinds of ham, “Bündnerfleisch” (special kind of smoked meat), salami, bell pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc.
Serve it with a dry, light white wine.

Cleaning and Care
Due to hygienic reasons clean your raclette grill on a regular basis, best after each use, and remove any food residues.
Not doing so could possibly result in a hazardous situation.

Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance, it from the mains and let it completely cool down.

Afterwards, once the grill plate (1) and the raclette pans (3) have cooled down, clean them in warm water using some dishwashing detergent, rinse and dry them thoroughly.
Once, the stone plate (2) has completely cooled down, clean it only under running tap water using a synthetic sponge.

Storage
After use disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down.
