How do I charge the Lamax BCool smartwatch?

Fully recharge the watch before first use. Connect the included magnetic charging cable to a USB charger or computer USB port. Attach the pins to the tabs on the bottom of the watch; the magnets will hold it in place. The display shows charging status. Full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

How do I turn the watch on and off?

To turn on, press and hold the side button. To turn off, press and hold the side button, or swipe right to the watch menu, select Settings (gear icon), then System, then OFF, and confirm by touching the green button.

How do I pair the watch with my smartphone?

Download the Lamax BCool app from the link in the manual (or from the official website). Enable Bluetooth and location services on your phone. Turn on the watch. In the app, tap to connect, select 'HLAMAXBCool-xxx', and confirm the pairing request. On iOS, also allow notifications.

How do I change the watch face?

On the displayed watch face, touch and hold the screen. A selection of dials will appear. You can also download additional watch faces from the app after pairing.

How does heart rate monitoring work?

Continuous heart rate monitoring is on by default, measuring at regular intervals. You can view results in the app or use manual measurement by selecting the 'Heart rate' function in the watch menu. The result appears after a few seconds.

Is the watch waterproof?

The watch has IP68 water resistance, meaning it is protected against immersion in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. However, it is not intended for swimming, diving, or showering. Do not charge when wet.

How do I set an alarm?

In the app, go to Device settings > Alarm clock settings. Set the alarm time and repeat days. At the set time, the watch will vibrate and show an alarm icon. Touch the screen or press the side button to stop it.

How do I enable inactivity alerts?

In the app, go to Device settings > Session settings / Session notification. Set the start and end time for the inactivity alert period. If you remain motionless for a long time during this period, the watch will vibrate and display a warning.

How do I use the camera remote control?

In the app, go to Device settings > Camera controls > Change photo. Confirm your selection, then turn your wrist to take a photo. A confirmation message will appear on your phone after a successful shot.

What should I do if the watch does not receive notifications?

Ensure the watch is paired and Bluetooth is active. In the app, go to Notifications in watch settings and select which notifications you want to appear. If notifications still do not show, your phone may not support this feature. Also, verify that notification access is granted in your phone settings.

Operating Instructions

Charging the watch

Fully recharge the watch before using it for the first time. Plug the included power cord into a USB charger or USB port on your computer, attach the pins to the tabs on the bottom of the watch, and attach the power cord to the watch with the magnets. The display shows the charging status information when the charger is connected. The entire battery will be charged in approximately 2 hours.

Controls

You can control the watch by moving your wrist or touching it. Turning your wrist to a horizontal position activates the watch display, showing the time and other information depending on the selected watch dial (e.g., number of steps, date, battery status, etc.). You can enable or disable the watch being activated by turning your wrist in the mobile application.

Control the following actions by pressing the side button or touching the watch display

Turn on Bluetooth and location services on your smartphone. Turn on your watch. In the app, click the button to connect the device, select the name "HLAMAXBCool-xxx" and then confirm the selection in the dialog box. On iOS mobile phones, you will also need to confirm the pairing and allow all notifications from this phone to be displayed.
If the watch is not paired or disconnected, the icon will be displayed in the status bar ☐. After pairing, the icon changes to ☐.
Heart rate monitoring
By default, continuous heart rate monitoring is turned on, which measures your heart rate at regular intervals. The results and history of continuous measurement can be displayed in the application, where it can also be turned off. You can also use the manual heart rate measurement function in the watch. This measurement can be activated by selecting the "Heart rate" function in the watch menu. After selecting this function, the measured result is displayed after a few seconds.
Monitoring physical activity
Steps are recorded automatically as soon as the watch is switched on. Based on the obtained data, it then calculates the distance travelled, the time spent moving and the calories burnt. This data can be displayed in summary in the "Daily activity" function in the watch menu. The measurement history is available in the application.
Sleep monitoring
The watch automatically detects the beginning and end of your period of sleep. The last measured value can be displayed in the watch in the menu under the „Sleep“ function. The history of these measurements can be viewed in the application.
Alarm clock
In the device settings of the app, go to „Alarm clock settings“. Select the alarm time and the days on which the alarm should be active. At the selected time, an alarm clock icon will appear on the watch and the watch will vibrate. Touch the screen or press the side button to stop the alarm.
Inactivity alert
In the device settings of the app, go to „Session settings“ / „Session notification“ and set the start and end of the time interval when the watch should prompt you for activity. If you are motionless for a long time during this period, the watch will vibrate and a warning will appear on the display.
Find my phone
Select the „Find phone“ function in the watch menu. Touch the icon to turn the function on. The phone then rings and vibrates. If the phone does not respond after turning on the function, it does not support this function.
Phone camera remote control
In the device settings of the app, go to „Camera controls“ „Change photo“. Confirm your selection and turn your wrist to take the photo. After the photo has been successfully taken, a confirmation message will appear on the phone display.

Displaying weather information
After synchronizing the watch with the app, the day's weather information is
displayed under the "Weather" function.
To view notifications for incoming calls and messages
In the app, go to "Notifications" in the watch settings. Select which notifications you want to appear on the watch display. These notifications can be displayed in the watch in the menu under the "Messages" function. If you do not receive a notification on the watch even after switching it on, your phone does not support this feature.
Changing the dial
On the displayed dial, touch and hold the watch screen to display a selection of other dials. Additional dials can be downloaded from the app after pairing with the watch.
Do not disturb mode
When "do not disturb" mode is on, the watch does not alert you to phone notifications. This mode can be turned on from the status bar (month icon) or in the watch settings.
Water and dust resistance
The watch is resistant to the ingress of water and foreign objects according to the degree of protection IP68. This means that it is protected against immersion in water for 30 minutes to a depth of 1.5 metres and against the ingress of foreign objects, including dust.
Warning: Never charge a wet watch. The device is not intended for use during water sports, swimming, diving or showering. It must not be exposed to pressurized water or strong water jets, such as rapid immersion or diving.
