To stop or turn off your Whirlpool ART 66001, you need to use the On/Stand-by button located on the electronic control panel of the appliance. It is important to note that this 273-liter built-in refrigerator-freezer has a unique cooling system that powers both the refrigerator compartment and the freezer compartment, which means you cannot stop just the freezer independently of the rest of the appliance.
To put the appliance in stop mode (standby mode), press the On/Stand-by button for 3 seconds. The control panel will turn off, and the interior light of the refrigerator compartment will no longer turn on when you open the door, indicating that the appliance is in standby mode. This action consumes only minimal energy.
To reactivate your Whirlpool ART 66001 after turning it off, simply briefly press the same On/Stand-by button (for less than a second). The appliance will immediately restart and resume its normal cooling operation. Note: standby mode does not completely cut off the power supply to the appliance.
If you want to completely cut off the power supply, you have two options: unplug the power cord from the wall outlet (if the appliance is not permanently built-in), or switch off the circuit breaker corresponding to the Whirlpool ART 66001 in your electrical panel.
Important: do not confuse the temperature button with the On/Stand-by button. The temperature button is only used to adjust the storage temperature between 2°C and 8°C for the refrigerator compartment, and between -16°C and -24°C for the freezer. This button should never be used to stop the appliance.
