II. Important Notes
1) Cleaning the bottle
Before using the fill&go for the first time, clean the bottle without the MicroDisc with a mild detergent or in the dishwasher. Clean the fill&go regularly by hand or in the dishwasher A. Before cleaning remove the MicroDisc 3 and store it on a clean surface during the cleaning process. To ensure an optimum level of hygiene, we recommend that the microdisc is not only to be used and pouring boiling water over it. In order to prepare the MicroDisc properly, ensure it is fully submerged. If the MicroDisc floats to the surface, use a spoon to hold the MicroDisc to the bottom of the cup. After five minutes, you can reinstall the MicroDisc into the water filter. Please make sure that your hands are clean when touching the
2) Preparing the MicroDisc
Take the MicroDisc out of the packaging. Before using the MicroDisc for the first time, soak the MicroDisc in warm water for 1 minute to remove any carbon dust that may be present and to optimise water flow B.

3) Inserting the MicroDisc
Open the bottle lid 5. Unscrew disc cover 2 anti-clockwise C and insert the disc D. Then screw the disc cover back on and close the bottle lid.
4) Filling the bottle
Unscrew bottle base 4 and fill the bottle with tap water E. Then screw the base back on to the bottle. Open the lid, open the mouth piece and your fill&go is now ready to use!
5) Changing the MicroDisc
One MicroDisc can filter up to 150 litres of water. To ensure optimal filtration and hygiene, BRITA recommends the MicroDisc to be replaced every 4 weeks. To do this, repeat step 2 and 3. In some regions, the filtration of tap water containing particles can result in a significantly lower flow rate. In such cases, we recommend changing the MicroDisc more frequently.

Use only with cold water (4 °C to 40 °C). The fill&go may only be used with municipically treated cold tap water provided by your local water authority. This water is constantly controlled and according to legal regulations safe to drink. If an instruction is received from the authorities that mains water must be boiled, then BRITA filtered water must also be boiled. When the instruction to boil water is no longer in force, the entire bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and a new MicroDisc inserted. For certain groups of people (e.g. those with impaired immunity and babies), it is generally recommended that tap water should be boiled; this also applies to filtered water. BRITA filtered water is a foodstuff intended for human consumption; you should therefore use the water in your fill&go within one day.
When not using your fill&go for a longer period of time, the bottle should be disassembled and stored completely dry.
Always store spare MicroDiscs in a cool, dry place and ensure that they are tightly sealed.
Like each natural product, the consistency of the MicroDisc is subject to natural variances. This can lead to a light abrasion of small carbon particles in the packaging and in the filtered water. These particles have no negative health effects and are not harmful if ingested. In case you observe carbon particles, BRITA recommends rinsing the MicroDisc thoroughly on both sides.
Dispose of used MicroDiscs with your general waste. Dispose of the bottle according to local provisions.
